How should my mouthguard fit? should I be able to close my wouth with ease? should it feel kinda big? extend lower then my teeth bt about 50%?

i dunno what you mean by the whole 50% to a lateral angle of paethagorus's theorum etc....

but jus do it so it fits comfortably covers your back teeth at the back.. but doesnt aggravate the gums.. if it does cut it some at the back till its compfy and jus keep workin at it till you can stick it one your teeth and open your gob witout it coming off your teeth.. boiling hot water bout 11 12 secs ...

it shoulds just fit comfortable in your mouth. it doesn't sound like you boiled it first and thus it is not form-fitting to your teeth and gums. all mouthguards feel like a terrible fit before you boil and bite. (like BHB said, boil it, but follow instructions so it doesn't completely break down by over-boiling.)

isn't it usually 30 seconds in the boiling water, then dip it in room temp. water (so it doesnt burn your mouth) and then put it in and just close your mouth comfortably...?

Nooo....#0 seconds it will start to contort to a different shape...You want it to get slightly soft....But the room temp thing I had heard of....I buy boxes of the crappy ones for the guys at the gym who forget theirs....The guys who are serious I usually have get the kit to custom make them...A little more expensive but worth it

thats how I did mine and its just your standard black cheapo...

seems to work alright, fits pretty good. we must be talking about different kinds, but I didnt think they got much cheaper than the ones Ive had
