Many people think that you establish distance with your jab. I beg to differ.
Try this. Get in your stance and jab at the wall; move back until you knuckles are one inch short of the wall. Extend your arm all the way, turn your shoulders.
Then throw a right hand- straight right, weight on left foot then your shoulder. You'll punch well beyond the wall; the left hook will pro hit it as well.
Range is established by the rest foot.
