    Default Wimbledon 2015

So want to bet on Murray to win. What are his chances and what are the odds if I put £10 @Fenster @Silkeyjoe

I am 100% certain that Andy Murray is going to win Wimbledon. Make of that what you will, Master.

For the first time ever I make Murray the favourite to win.

I fear injuries have caught up with Nadal and his time at the top is over, Federer will play superbly for the most but have a 'bad' day where it all goes wrong - maybe early on, and when up against Djokovic I think home support and Murray being stronger on grass than clay will see him over the line.

Can't really remember how good Stan the man is on grass ?

Also not sure where Djokovic is scheduled to meet Murray - final ?

Murray is around 3/1. So your £10 will turn in to £40. You'll win 30 plus your 10 back.

Yes Murray cannot meet Djokovic til the final. Would be a huge ask as Djokovic just seems invincible. He has gone up another level compared to the rest. Certainly Murray has a chance though.

Stan is very dangerous on grass. His game suits all surfaces but grass wouldn't be as favoured as hard court. If he is in top form on the given day he plays Murray or Djok he has the game to blow them away. Or he might lose in round 3. That's what the traditional big guys have over him. Or 'had' in the cases of Federer and Nadal.

So £100 would get me £300 back, I lost £100 betting on utd not winning the league.

£100 would win you £300. Plus your £100 back. So £400 back for a profit of £300.

Although the odds have now moved a tiny bit since I posted. 11/4 is the best you can get now. So £100 would now get you 275 profit instead of 300.

Is it best to bet now or closer to the start of the event?

If backing Murray I'd say now before the patriotic punters shorten his odds.

11/4 is top price with PP, Boyles and Hills. If you dont bet much and dont have lots of betting accounts Id recommend shopping around and getting the best welcome bonus. Paddy Power are doing a promo where you can get 18/1 on Murray to win Wimbledon if you are a new customer but think winnings get paid out as free bets rather than proper cash. Betfair are doing a similar promo at 10/1 but thing the the returns are cash.
