Default Paul Williams vs The Guy That KO'ED Kirkland!!!

Paul Williams has finally got a fight. Against Nobuhiro Ishida. He's know for Ko'ing Kirkland in the first round. Still not a household name but at the point in Williams career, a good opponent. By the way, after he KO'ed Kirkland, he got another 1st round ko in Edson Espinoza. Another fighter we don't know, but still

Any thoughts and/or predictions on how this fight will go?

Good thing about this fight, is that we are having our very own light middleweight tourney.
    Cotto advance by beating Margarito
    Alvarez advance by beating Cintron
Kirkland advance by beating Augulo and now facing Molina
Delvin Rodriguez advance by beating Wolak
Hopefully the promoter can have the winners face each other ASAP!!!

Ishida isn't known as a hard puncher despite what Kirland might tell you lol.. Williams should win this fight easily. As far as the tourny lol.. not going to happened, It would be nice though.

I'm saying Ishida has what it takes to beat this Paul williams, and I think he will. Williams problem is not that he gets hit hard, his problem is that he gets hit..hit ALOT! I think Ishida is catching Williams clearly going the other direction in career. He's highly mobile and knows what distance is all about, has quick hands with straight punches, he's faced his "boogie man" in both mainstream big stage stateside exposure as well as being cast as the complete unknown and underdog...and he strikes me as confident as all hell. I think Paul has slipped much and Ishida is riding career high.

Ishida's victory over Kirkland was a fluke and Id be shocked if lightning strikes twice against Williams..

I hope Williams gives him an inhumane ass beating.

Williams will beat him all over the shop. Paul Williams still beats the fuck out of Cotto who doesn't fight anyone with a good eye or a chance these days

Yeh a fluke that saw him caught with the same combos over and over while bouncing off the canvas. Kirkland is a sucker for fast straight punches but has come back quickly with force after being hurt prior and post his fluke fling, save for Ishida..and he did land.

Nah, Kirkland wasn't a fluke, but it was a stupid fight from Kirkland. Kirkland is good, but too reckless at times.

Agreed with the above.. You can't call it a fluke, but more a case of Kirkland just being shit on that night and there to be taken out by most anyone. Having only seen Ishida in that fight, I have no idea whether he has a realistic chance against Williams or not, but I don't think he has a shot in hell to repeat that outcome unless Pauls chin is completely dented.

Williams by knock out. I can't see it being competitive.

Ishida vs. Kirkland was one of those once in a career events. It was like Baldomir beating Judah.
