Default More questions about resistance! I know, I know

Now please bear with me I know I ask a lot of questions, all the time but just trying to get as much info off you guys as possible. First I just wanted to says i've recently added resistance (woody) bands to my training, aswell as my usual training I try to do at least 15 minutes a day of footwork using resistance bands. What im doing at the moment is bits ive borrowed *stole* off scraps videos. Firstly I do 5 minutes of footwork short movements using FastFeet which I bought from sugar rays, basically its a resistance bands with two adjustable cotton shackles that go around your ankles. Then I do 5 mins of shadow with two blue woody bands going over shoulder to underneath the opposite foot (as seen in one of scraps videos) in a sort of 'X' shape, with a rope just above shoulder height for bobbing and weaving under. Then I do 5 mins more shadow with a resistance band attached to my back leg to a post and one either hand to the post too. Now this might be all in my head but I've only been doing it for 3 weeks and I feel like its made massive improvements and straight after I do it and take the resistance off I feel a lot lighter on my feet and quicker. Is this the case with everyone else or am I just clutching at straws? But also does everyone think that is enough (obviously as well as my usual training, sparring, bag work, pad work, running skipping sprints etc.) to improve or should I be doing 30 mins+ a day. Its just I have little spare time as it is so its hard to fit it in but if I do need to up the time spent on it I will. Thanks as always guys.

    Hey guys,

just had a quick question on the woody bands.

I'm looking to pick up a pair as well.. and I realized they have various blue ones available.

First of all, I'm assuming it's best to order the 41 inch ones.

But the main question is.. how much resistance is required I will most likely be doing the same exercises that southpawwolves mentioned)

On the website I see the following blue 41" woodys

    #1 Mini Bands
    Width: ½ inch
    Resistance: 5 to 35 lbs.

    Pair of #3 Small Bands
    Width: 1 1/8 inches
    Resistance: 25 to 80 lbs.

    Pair of #6 X-Large Bands
    Width: 3 1/4 inches
    Resistance: 70 to 175 lbs.

... I was thinking of ordering the 1 1/8 inch 25-80lb resistance ones.

also just a note.. I just found these recommended on another website. For those that are in north america, these are much cheaper... and apparently, essentially the same things...

If you scroll down, a bit, you'll see "High strength rubber banding"

    McMaster-Carr

now the question really becomes.. how the hell does one know which ones to order
