It's a ploy, just a joke. I know this because @ross told us in the other thread and he is completely unbiased in reading between the lines of these negotiations.

Why would Sky have Fury on? That pretty much says it's done

Hahah, I actually don't mind that interview from Fury. No matter how thick he is you can see it's literally tongue in cheek for the most part. What's mental is that he doesn't back off the 80-20 thing, but if in fact negotiations have been going on it's clear he isn't serious.

I can't think of a single fight ever where two men have actually agreed on a higher split to the winner, would love to see that as a first here. 60% to the winner, perfectly reasonable if either of them are half as confident as they let on.

"You know me and my team are very optimistic about the fight I heard Haye and he's team are very optimistic about it so I don't see why not this fight should not happen, it's ehrm, he wants a fight, I want a fight, so, it should be done soon enough."

That is a serious clusterfuck of a sentence. My head just could not compute that bold part of the sentence for about four hours.

Now not only is he the greatest ever, he is now the greatest there ever will be

He's a lot more poised there than I'm used to as well. Hearing him speak after being in the ring is migraine inducing.

When the Oxford folks do their next rewrite they ought to put a thumbnail picture of Fury next to the definition of hubris.

Fury is one of my favorite current HWs at the moment but where does he get the nerves to say shit like this ? haha

HE really hasn't done enough to be demanding higher percentage against Haye ..

He better change his tune cuz he gonna look like a pussy if he keeps this up..

As a fan of Fury though, Id rather he not take this fight cuz it's a bad style matchup for him..

Id like to beat up David Haye blah blah blah , yes and by asking for 80 /20 , he knows it has no chance of happening , so talk is cheap.
Fat Mick will no doubt wheel out another light puncher , and claim it is the only fight they could get , due to Haye not wanting the fight.
Fury is a total retard , and anyone with a brain can see that , ive said before he is looking for one massive payday , because deep down team Fury know he will be KOED when he meets a world class puncher.

    ha ha

I jumped to conclusions slagging him off in one of my recent posts re the 80\20 thing. Obviously just more bollocks from Fury.

It's still tongue in cheek by a long long way. Hilarious in fact - would have beaten any fighter in history . David haye not as good looking as me

He fooled me and a few others.

Lol I cringe right through every single word of every single interview he does!

It's like watching a film you've seen before and you know what's coming, and you can't look.

Why are you lads getting your knickers in a twist about Fury. He is trying to entertain and has character and he is making most of the stuff up to build up interest and his profile. Haye should come on TV and talk his crap too, he is strangely silent. Also noticed Sky are licking their lips at the thought of cashing in on this fight when we all know it should be free on channel 5.
