    Default Morecambe

Has anyone been to Morecambe Bay and is it worth staying for a couple of hours or overnight?

I am going to Lake District and is on the way and do not want to go to Blackpool (again).

Wondered if it is worth going there.

Go for Afternoon Tea at the Midland Hotel on the sea front, its a beautiful art deco hotel.
Also go to Edmondson's fish shop try some potted shrimps.
See the Bronze statue of Eric Morecambe.

Edmondsons is a locally famous. Rick Stien , Ade Edmondson, and Hugh Whittingstall before river cottage ( cook on the wild side fame ) all visited Ray as he is one of only 2 shrimping boats left in Morecambe.
The product is a seafood lovers dream, buy some and bring them home Master.
The Morecambe potted shrimps are a great product in the Foie Gras class.

    Enjoy.

As long as the shrimps are not too expensive then I will buy some.

Go the other coast - much nicer.

Or stay away all together actually
