    Default Styles on display

What was fight that showed off a certain style? Which fight showed off the best assets of a certain fighting style?

Off the top of my head:

Ali-Williams: Ali countered effectively and bewildered his power punching opponent, eventually knocking him out

Floyd Mayweather Jr-Diego Corrales: virtually the same as Ali-Williams but with the emphasis on DEFENSE as in blocking (not avoiding) punches.

What were the best fights for displaying the Peek-a-boo, the boxer-puncher, the slickster, the sniper, the pressure fighter, etc

    Others that spring to mind:

Evander Holyfield-Mike Tyson: He blocked and countered perfectly.

Mike Tyson-Larry Holmes: Tyson slipped the 1-2 he countered well and used the peek-a-boo defense perfectly

this and mayweather-gatti are my favorite mayweather fights. i think mayweather-gatti really showed floyds amazing defense and countering.

Agreed he was very tight in his defense in those fights and he was smooth and efficient with his countering as well.

Vitali Klitschko-Danny Williams: he avoided DW's shots, Vitali dictated the pace and flow of the fight, great showing from him.

Tyson v Berbick, just allowed Tyson to hit him at will whilst throwing looping slow punches himself.

McCallum v Watson high guard allowing the body shots in.

Herol Graham v Rod Douglas allowed the Graham to show his boxing skills while putting a beating on Rod, similar to Calzaghe v Lacy.

Im not sure what in the hell style you'd call it, but one of the greatest heavyweight fights for me ever. Foreman vs Lyle.

No attempt at defense. Both guys swinging for the fences. Both guys getting dropped. By round 4 they are just standing there teeing off on each other, as if by silent consent they agreed to take turns and honor the 'you go first, then me' rule.

Again, no clue what to call it but hellacious. Wouldnt have wanted to be either guy that night.

And did you see it end?? Like four or five short nasty ripping uppercuts from Foreman. Lyle just falls face first. Man I love me some vintage Foreman. That one was right up there with his piledriving Ken Norton through the mat with that last left hand.

I call style "the manner in which a fighter achieves victory"...for guys like Willie Pep and Pernell Whittaker it was hit and don't be hit, for someone like 'Big' George Foreman it was use size, power, and strength against his opponent, I would say his best fights (where he fought the best stylistically) are vs Frazier and Norton...vs Frazier he spun him out of range while landing his own bombs, and vs Norton he bum rushed him and muscled up on the mentally weaker Norton.

Odd one that sticks but old man and master of guile and jab Larry Holmes exposing badly a raw powerhouse and undefeated Ray Mercer in a jab clinic.Ironically after it was Mercers own jab that sent Holmes reeling in the 1st round. But from there it was alllllll downhill for him.
