Default Who actually pays for this crap?

Parker - Fury , complete joke, anyone who paid was a curious idiot

GGG - Canelo , anyone who paid was a boxing fan, and is no longer

Mayweather - Conor McIrish Farmer, anyone who paid was a real idiot

    Boxing is killing itself off

I did see Canelo - GGG, and despite being a cautious chess match, it had good moments sprinkled just enough to keep eyes open.

Rigondeaux's matchup with Lomachenko in December is surely one to pay for and be entertained by.

Dorticos didn't look super impressive but it was a short fight so we will see how he does in his next fight.

Boxing is a cockroach. A good one if that's possible and it won't be killed off. I'll never pay $70 for what I can watch on the same network one week later. Then again I once paid $35 for stuff like this so yeh

The descriptions "he's making his pro debut, he was in prison a month ago"

"He flew in from ..... today, arrived an hour ago"

"He found out he would be included an hour ago"

Boxing makes planning appear so hard haha

Which, this seems the perfect place to say......I think it's time to revamp the boxing press conferences. They are awful, boring, and nothing should stay the same 100 years. It looks so low class with folding tables. I don't know how they should change it, but they should change it. I hate to say it but I rather enjoy the UFC model

Yeh they were pulling guys from the audience. I think Willie Jackson was the mma-pka guy who slipped and tried a spinning back fist on Tubbs. Is that where they sit them all coliseum style in rows? They definitely upped ufc style promo with Mayweathers heist but frankly boxing fans we're not exactly the target audience. Seems we've lost the usefulness of potential matches running on same cards ala the super fly trio we just had. Another thing lost with current ppvs that King did well.

or more safetyglass partitions Vargas v Mayorga style

How about some people might have bought ALL three and enjoyed ALL three for different reasons? You know, maybe they love boxing or something weird like that.

Mug this, mug that, idiot this, idiot that. Why are you people so obsessed about the way other people spend their money? Very puzzling to me.

It's just expensive, innit Fenster? Anyone paying 100 bucks to watch Floyd fight a nobody has to be a bit of a mug. I would pay for GGG/Canelo, but they showed it for free out here. Even showed the Mayweather fight free as well. Think that's how it is in most countries. The big difference is they seem to pick and choose the fights we get whence I miss quite a lot of other fights I would like to see.

$100 seems a bit steep, however, if it was impossible to watch the fights without paying I could fully understand the moans and groans (I'd be on the front line with a banner) but people today are so SPOILT they complain even though they can watch it for FREE!!! And then look down on the "mugs" that CAN afford it.

Most people that moan only watch a few high profile fighters, I never see them comment on anything that isn't aimed at the general/casual boxing fan. So I assume the real problem is they're jealous of the "mugs" that can afford to buy what they can't.

If people keep buying these ppv it gives them the licence and belief that they can carry on doing it.

People pay subscriptions so why do they have to pay extra for these matches?

These are becoming so common that people think they are the norm and accept them.

You can not get lower than ppv Cleverly v Bellew 2. If that can be ppv then anything can be.

Now we have you tube ppv, when will it end?

The subscription thing or "standard" of fight is no longer an excuse (although a perfectly valid one), you're not willing to buy ITV or Youtube PPV either. In fact you're not even willing to subscribe to a dedicated boxing channel, there's no particular fight that would make you depart with a pound note.

Lets be honest, you'd never pay for anything boxing related, you just don't like it enough.

I despise the PPV model and the grinning promoters and tv executives trying to sell it as if it is the norm.

I have bought it in the past when I wanted to record it.

Alvarez vs Golovkin was a good fight and Mayweather vs McGregor was watchable, I wouldn't call either fight boring. Parker vs Fury was shit though but we kind of expected it would be so no surprise there.
