Default What is your favorite weight class?

There's always a lot of talk on how bad the heavy weight division is and how boxing needs heavyweights to help the sport. I think for most casual fans this is true as there is always the chance of the stunning one punch knock-out shot. I think that as fans learn the sport more and start seeing different styles they might start actually appreciating some of the lighter weight classes due to the speed and technical aspects that the lighter weight class fighters need to rely on to be successful.

If i was pinned down to only one weight class I would have to say 154lbs. The fighters in this weight class bring speed and knockout power, there is still alot of movement, and its probably where I would land if I was an elite lever boxer.

What is you favorite weight class to watch and why?

All weights are good ..i suppose it comes down to what weight clas has the best competition in it at the time

Once upon a time heavyweight was where it was at ..but at the moment welter, lightweight and midddle is where the fights are at..At the moment probably Jr Welter is my fav

I want to see andre wards next move and see if he goes to light heavy or not.

Perhaps if froch wins he stays at 168 for another rematch. Even though he schooled froch theres alot of money there for a rematch and i believe froch will do a bit better.

Then theres the 140 - 154 divison which is the most exicting imho right now

140 and down are my favorites, less BS, more action, and a lot more mental toughness. IMO

I like them all. Only thing I care about is good fights. I don't care what weight they take place at

Ideally lightweight and under for me. Reason being is because at lighter speeds the boxers technique generally has to be sharper to compensate for the sheer speed of the punches. However that being said I love watching Vitali fight so...no rhyme or reason to it.

147 to 168 usually has the best action, but any weight class provides entertainment, I just love boxing!

147lb is good but 140lb is better.

*I don't think the heavyweight div is as bad as many say..I think the Klichsko's r that good. Good they r, fun to watch, maybe not. If u take them out of the equation, there's alot of GREAT fun fights to watch.

i'd love the 168 div..but as great as Ward is, i hate watching him fight. He's another Hopkins... just more agressive. Kessler, Froch, Bute, maybe GGG, and ther's more talent that I've forgetton, but it's really stacked... that's why I have Ward as #1 in p4p cuz that's the most stacked div and Ward has beaten most of them.

my favorite..140 pound div... just a fun div to watch. Rios vs Alvarado... Khan, Maidana, pussy ass Bronner would've made it fun as well, Marquez, Danny Garcia, ... u can even put Pac in there... just an awesome div... best it's ever been..EVER.

    Cruiserweight

It's been an underrated division for years.

Heavyweight division.... gatta show respect for the big boys.

    Then, in this order:
    Welterweights (catch-weights between 140 and 150)
    Super-Middleweights
    Middleweight
    Lightweights

    Most hated divisions:
Light Heavyweight (if it wasn't for Chad Dawson, I wouldn't watch a damn LH fight, EVER! The last exciting LH they had was Michael Moorer. Even RJJ at LH was boring!)
    Cruiser-weight
    Flyweight

(Donaire made me a fan of Bantam and Super-Bantams!)

But, I have to admit, my list after super middleweight can become interchangeable!
