I think I might stay up for this one, I stayed up last weekend and I think it does me good, I've slept like a corpse the last couple of nights.

I have been looking and working like a corpse at work.

Both can punch so it will be exciting to watch but 5am? I am tempted.

Good styles match with decent punchers but bit underwhelming for HBO. Stevens didn't look so good v De La Rosa. Hesitant and off. Winner gets a big fight and probably another L. No idea where Gamboa is with 2 year layoff but Alvarado should give him some work.

The Lemieux v Stevens fight can go either way. On one hand I can see it being explosive as both can be aggressive and are decent punchers. On the other they may come in tentative which could lead to a dull fight. I hope they go for broke.

Interesting that Lemieux's team are claiming he didn't know about the 2nd day weight in that the IBF conducts with a 10 regain pound limit. He never showed up. So the former IBF champ is unaware of this? Sure he made weight on the day and it is only a minor international belt but why not just say that? Saving a fighter sanctioning fees is always a good thing in my book. I wonder if the IBF will drop him from there ratings?

The last few late night cards I've tried to stay awake for have been failures, so I doubt I'll make this one, but the intention and the option is open. However, will probably fail. Hope this contribution has been worthwhile, should be a good fight regardless of whether or not I manage to watch!

Lemieux is almost always in a good fight. The only real exception was against GGG because he knew how that would end. I think that he will come forward on Stevens. Stevens just isn't good. I've seen him fight a lot and I've never once been impressed.

I was shocked when I found out that he was a decorated amateur. He fights like someone with no amateur background and relies purely on athleticism and his punch.

I have been impressed with a number of Stevens' knockouts (Ayala, Teixeira, Majewski etc) but I agree that I have never really thought of him as much more than a gate keeper at best. Apart from N'Jikam; Lemieux's record is severely lacking also. I favor Lemieux but really don't have much faith in either fighter. Let the best man win.

Unbeaten Yves Ulysse Jr just stopped previously unbeaten Zachary Ochoa. The corner stopped it at the end of the 7th after Ochoa got beaten up for almost the entire round.
