This is a Wing Chun video with fast hands, but wtf I don't get having speed when none of those movements would have any power? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLi-o...h=fast%20hands

It seems to me that with the area that he is aiming for (the throat) you really wouldnt need a lot of power to cause damage.

I believe the power would be there if he wanted it to be there. CC

I am having trouble viewing the video but usually people comment on how fast Wing Chun practioners hands are but also how they look like pitter pat shots though in reality they can be very deadly strikes
Wing chun has pleanty of power....You have to notice the subtle things like footwork leverage and they attack in a triangle to get the most force and energy into there blows...WE do some wing chun drills and trapping at the martial arts school I belong to its part of Jeet Kune Do

Speed is good. Even if they don't have power they have angles and shots that the the person you're fighting doesn't see coming and that can be an advantage. You don't need power to be a great boxer, Looche and Whitaker proved that.
