Default Faster hands, Tyson or Ali?

These two are widely considered to have the fastest hands in HW history.

Well, who had the faster hands?

Hard to say, totally different builds and styles, neither could come close to showing the same type of speed/quickness as the other imo. Ali was fast as hell in his prime, but he stayed outside and did shoeshine quite a bit. Tyson turned everything over but couldn't fight at that range, he was something like 6" shorter and probably at an even greater deficit in reach.

In my opinion Ali had the faster reflexes and his jab was faster than any single punch Tyson threw in his prime. Their feet are very close in speed, with Ali faster moving laterally and Tyson faster at creating the angle/shifting. Where Ali was faster with single shots, Tyson was faster throwing combinations and also delivered more power throughout the combos.

Ali had faster hands, but Tysons hands were 2nd to Ali while having twice the power.

floyd Patterson had hands that were at least as quick as those two guys. I think Floyd possibly had the fastest hands in heavyweight championship history

Tyson was by far the more explosive. Things in short bursts. Here, there, side-to-side, boom-boom-boom.
Whereas Ali was more balletic with better reflexes, maybe better timing.
Both were equally capable of rattling off silly combinations just in different ways.

This put it into perspective for me. I would have to go with Tyson, for the mere fact that his punches had all into them and Ali was just a shoe-shine kinda puncher.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!
