    Default Vic Darchinyan

Hows he going to face up in 2011? His camp dont see happy about the way he lost to Abner Mares and there is a full video of a complaint that they are going to file against Mares the video is on fightnews.com here : Boxing - Darchinyan Camp Protests

I think those lows blows seemed a bit unfair should Vic get another shot at Mares? His next fight is against Yonnhy Perez which is a good match up I think that will be an exciting fight which cant be missed. I like Vic Darchyian a lot, especially with his attitude change after getting KTFO by Donaire years ago. He has fought good quality of opposition ever since and I hope he has a succesful 2011 !

He has a point but I dont see protest going anywhere. Not like he's out in the cold and a quality showing vs Perez will get him back in. Perez is off some brutal rounds with Imo a severely underrated Agbeko and seems easier to catch, should bode well for Vic. I've come around on him after Donaire fight too, amazing what a public azz whipping will do for you. This division is in top form.

Protesting just makes him look like a sore loser. He would get more respect from me if he just complained about what he thought was wrong then moved on...I mean this isnt Court TV its boxing. He didnt even win in my eyes. My translation is: waa waa waa I didnt get my way, I dont wanna play anymore. The ref wouldnt let me push his head down.

I can't understand why his camp is protesting the Mares result, he was winning the fight up until round 8 and fell away in the final rounds. Mares was exceptional and deserved the win. I would love to see them go at it again. Never a dull moment with Vic in and outside the ring, just get on with it Vic and stop the whinging, most people on here now have great respect for you as a fighter. The little guys are certainly providing the most excitement in boxing these days.

The low blows were a joke he lost the fight but on another night Mares could of been DQ.

well i think the camp is protesting because the performance in the later rounds went down and this was due to the low blows not the fitness levels of vic who never turns up unprepared. I remember reading his resting heart rate went down to 48 or something after a 10 mile run. so the prepartion to the fight wasnt the problem it was the low blows and if you watch the video there seems to be a lot of low blows. I think if this is the case it does merit at the very least a vic-mares rematch.

I hope they do rematch, i guess this will depend on how Mares goes against Agbeko?

Heres the video. I see Vic pushing Mares head down almost every low blow that occured.
He got a point deducted for a borderline shot. Alot of BORDERLINE shots they are crying about. There was maybe 2 low blows that were legit low blows. When you push someones head down they are going to throw punches lower than they intended, fucking crybabies in Vic's camp, teach him how to box instead of whining so much.
