Default Promotors VS Mandatory VS Purse Bids Vs Networks

I'm just an average fight fan. If someone can help me figure this out, I'll really appreciate it.

Champion - Tim Bradley - Top Rank Fighter - HBO
#1 Manda - Keith Thurman - Al Haymon Fighter - Showtime

It's pretty hard putting champions against champions for the simply reason, the ABC bodies will strip someone of their title before they let it be an unified title fight. But when you have a situation like the one above with Bradley and Thurman, what THUMPS?

It will easy to say money thumps but Keith and his team needs to know, if he wants big MONEY, Bradley could be a stepping stone.

    Anyone

Purse bids is the answer. IF GBP wins the purse bid, Bradley will have to either give up the belt or be willing to defy uncle Bob. If Arum wins it, GBP will either have to sort out a title shot for Thurman against one of there other Champions or take the risk.

The network it is on will be decided by who wins the purse bid.

    Silly (but genuine) question:

    Who controls purse bids?

    The sanctioning body.

They order them when terms can't be met between fighters. The fight is then up for grabs for any promoter (highest bidder)

Well I hope Thurman get the fight. Bradley would be easy pickings right now.

Looks like it will sort itself out and I definitely think Thurman batters Bradley. He is a real dangerous welterweight.
