I friggin love this statement. Tell me it’s not a trigger device. This is a gem.

President Donald Trump signaled appreciation for the military efforts to secure the border on Saturday at a campaign rally at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport in Belgrade, Mont.

“I noticed all that beautiful barbed wire going up today,” Trump said, referring to military soldiers setting up fences on the border. “Barbed wire used properly can be a beautiful sight.”

In Democratic Stronghold of New York City, Trump Finds Support Among Orthodox Jews
    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/11/n...odox-jews.html
    By William Neuman
    Nov. 10, 2016

In the blue sea of New York City, where Hillary Clinton crushed Donald J. Trump in the election on Tuesday, there were still some districts — working-class areas in the southeast Bronx, Mr. Trump’s childhood neighborhood in Jamaica Estates, Queens, and most of Staten Island — that did not go Mrs. Clinton’s way.

But of all the outlying pockets of Trump supporters in New York, perhaps the most distinct lay six miles south of the Clinton campaign headquarters: the Orthodox Jewish community of Borough Park, a neighborhood in Brooklyn that would seem to have little in common with Middle America, where Mr. Trump drew most of his support.

With its Judaica stores, kosher pizza shops, men in traditional black coats and hats and women with long skirts, Borough Park is home to thousands of Orthodox and Hasidic Jews, belonging to a range of sects, including Bobover, Belz, Satmar, Ger and Viznitz.

The vast majority of voters in the neighborhood are registered Democrats, but they often vote Republican, and this year was no different. In Brooklyn’s 48th Assembly District, which encompasses most of Borough Park, Mr. Trump got 69 percent of the vote, while Mrs. Clinton got 27 percent.

More Evidence Points to China as Source of Ozone-Depleting Gas
    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/03/c...imes&smtyp=cur
BEIJING — An environmental group says it has new evidence showing that China is behind the resurgence of a banned industrial gas that not only destroys the planet’s protective ozone layer but also contributes to global warming.

The gas, trichlorofluoromethane, or CFC-11, is supposed to be phased out worldwide under the Montreal Protocol, the global agreement to protect the ozone layer. In May, however, scientists published research showing that CFC-11 levels in the atmosphere had begun falling more slowly. Their findings suggested significant new emissions of the gas, most likely from East Asia.

Evidence then uncovered by The New York Times and the Environmental Investigation Agency pointed to rogue factories in China as a likely major source.

Now, the E.I.A. has prepared a report that it says bolsters the finding that Chinese factories are behind the return of CFC-11.

DAMN THAT DRUMPF!!!! If he kept the United States in the Paris Climate Accords we'd be suffering financially, he'd lose re-election, and most importantly China wouldn't get called out on their bullshit!!!!

    Fuckin Drumpf

I'm gonna sort of side with you on that one, Lyle.

It'll never make sense to me when you have a group trying to reach an agreement... only to have one of the group members doing whatever the hell they want... and that sounds like the Chinese on environmental affairs.

Let's face it... nobody will/can hold their feet to the fire, and they do whatever they damn well please. My brother worked a few years in China, and came back with horror stories regarding air pollution.

There were those facts about the rivers and plastic and who's doing most of the pollution.

You have a world power who began their massive industrialization relatively late as compared with other world nations.... and they're trying to make up ground in leaps and bounds and to hell with the environment.

If nobody else is crying "foul", I'm not against Trump's attitude on the matter. I wish there were other means, but China is too big and too powerful to be dealt with with sanctions.

Unless of course there was cooperation from other major world powers.

Someone has to bring these people to the environmental table.

The big deal with the Paris Climate Accords were that ....#1 What was "agreed to" varied from nation to nation #2 What was "agreed to" was not enforceable and #3 If you like to believe that the United States would set a standard and actually hold itself accountable for it, then our economy would be a shambles (which of course thrilled one party who doesn't give 1 single solitary fuck about how well people do because after all "the rich need to pay their fair share" )

Good on Trump for getting us out of that deal.

I just wish he'd follow it up with honest attempts at encouraging/coercing the other world powers to put the pressure on China to behave. The environment is still important.

Just 'cause we can't get stuck with the bill for the whole table, doesn't mean we can just stiff the restaurant.

So a woman at the rally in Missouri fainted during Trump's speech and this is what happened after Trump called for a doctor.

.....no word on if the person who wrote 'Amazing Grace' is angered by Trump fans singing it yet

Isn't it interesting that a blood thirsty fascist dictator let everyone vote yesterday?

Let's see what the Dems do with that. If it's strictly checks and balances, I got no problem with it. Every President needs it. If it becomes a vindictive witch hunt, it'll only hurt the country.

Let's see how everyone from the POTUS on down works with this new arrangement.
