Default FFS Floyd make a choice already!!!

This is doing my head in!

Now we are hearing that maidana manager is meeting al haymon and leonard ellerbe to discuss fight.

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2014/02/maidanas-manager-to-meet-with-mayweathers-adviser-to-talk-today/

Surely an announcement must happen at the end of this week as theres only 8-9 weeks left until fight!

Please floyd, fight maidana in may and khan in september IF khan can beat his next opponent at WELTERWEIGHT.

It's a tough decision because there really isn't a good fight out there for him.

He's already beat the two cash guys at 154 (Cotto and Alvarez), the two interesting fighters at 147 are fighting each other. Keith Thurman would be an interesting fight but he still coming up and hasn't really proven himself yet.

In the end, it has to be Maidana. I know he's beaten Maidana's style tons of times before, but at least Maidana is ranked at WW (unlike Khan who's never even fought at 147).

Really nobody deserves it more than Danny Garcia but I think they want to build the relationship with PR best, build him into a bigger star so the Floyd fight generates even more money.

    Danny garcia AND timothey bradley!

These two wont happen this year or not at all!

With maidana they could showcase the broner win and perhaps play on the fact that maidana was successful against that style. (Even if broner is flat footed)

Well when you're talking about who's deserving, nobody deserves it more than Tim Bradley.

To be fair, I think Garcia should have to fight and win at WW before he gets a fight with Mayweather. Doesn't have to be a top 5 guy, but a guy who's legit and tough enough to prove that Garcia can cut it at WW.

Mayweather vs Bradley would have been best case scenario, because Bradley is a PRIME, undefeated legit WW with solid speed and boxing ability, coming off a huge win over JMM.

If he manages to beat Pac (I mean REALLY beat Pac this time, not just get the nod), Mayweather vs Bradley is going to be fucking huge.

This time last year they took ages to announce Guerrero. Then because they'd taken so long they had to tuncate the whole promotion, no press tour etc. and the PPV suffered as a consequence. It looks like they're going to fuck it up again.

Even though Khan has already beat Maidana?

Is Maidana rated simply becuase he beat Bronner? Isn't Bronner just a bit overrated?

Didn't a fat Morales nearly beat Maidana?

    Seriously

    There is that arguement.

    Then theres the arguement of:-

    1. Khan has never fought at 147
    2. Khan has lost two of his biggest fights at 140.
    3. Khans last wins were against lightweights
    4. Khan nearly lost in last fight to a past prime by 8 yrs lightweight.
    5. Khan hasnt fought for ten months
    6. Khan is a spoilt brat.
    7. Khan has never avenged his losses.

Just can't get pumped about either one frankly. Kind if like just waiting to catch a cab to work and get another day over with. Just a formality feel. Mentally I think Maidana is far more suited to fight him, physically may lean Khan. But the kid is just so tightly wired and a bundle of nerves. Floyd's speed and accuracy should really do a number on that.

so Maidana wasn't one of his best wins, yet Maidana is more worthy of fighting Floyd, even though Khan already beat him

Julio Diaz also nearly beat Shawn whatshisface. The same Shawn whatshisface who would probably also beat Maidana, IMHO

No. He's pretty much the real deal.

No, he was just mis-labled as a box-puncher. IMO brawlers are underrated. Plus he lost to a one-time, largely underrated Danny Garcia.

I wouldn't know about that but in Broner's case, yeah. He was a massive hype job who subsequently has his ego inflated all the way up to 147 where in all honestly, he probably could have done with staying between 135-140. I'm not saying he is useless but not having the tools to beat Maidana is not good. Even an old fat Morales pretty much did it.

That was 4 years ago, dude. You don't get ranked on what you did 4 years ago, especially when it was a very compeditive fight.

Since then, Maidana moved up to WW and racked up wins against top opposition and one of boxings most promising rising stars in Broner.

Khan stayed at 140 and got KTFO savagely by Garcia and looked mediocre in his last few fights at 140
