Default Very disappointed in manny pac

I've loved manny for years. Hearing he supports duerte is really bothering me. I figure he has one more ppv fight upcoming and I'll be torn about it. I mean supporting deaths squads and duerte who says criminals should be thrown off helicopters is a bit much. Maybe we could make him mayor of Chicago for a while but then he got to go.

As an ex-pacfan, all I can say is, 'forgive him for he knows not what he does.' The kid grew up with almost nothing, without much education, and all of a sudden, he's put into the limelight, and lionized by everyone and everywhere for decades now, and some people started take advantage of him. You fellas probably seen some same ol' folks in his entourage, one of them, the one with light shades, is a known killer and a crook, ex-police chief who became a politician, living in a palace with a zoo of his own. With hardly any knowledge and experience, Pac was egged on by these crooks to become a politician. So there, we have a senator not much qualified for the job, making it 'on the job training'. He's probably just a victim of wrong company. And unfortunately, he's fast becoming a b------astard!
Sorry about that, @walrus, I wish I had a better news about Pac but that's how it goes.

Pedos and rapists should be thrown off helicopters.

    Duterte is a mad man!

Manny is probably just saying he supports him so he doesn't get thrown out of a helicopter or gunned down mysteriously.

If I lived in Ph there's no way I'm talking shit about Duterte... he's out of his mind!

This is why politics and sports should never mix, it distorts what you feel for your fighter. Walrus has learnt that the hard way.

I am a fan of Tyson but know he has been a scumbag in life and probably I would never get on with him but in that ring he will always be my hero.

@Master it's true what you say. My all time favorite sports hero is Ted Williams the greatest baseball batter of all times. He was a prick and even got booed in his own park, he retired before I was born. So loving a loser is a common occurrence in sports but this manny thing goes above and beyond. Perhaps he is stuck supporting duerte for his own health but support of a murderous regime is far beyond anything Tyson or Williams did. Duerte antics have been in the us news and as I listen to my favorite poster @pacfan you can tell the poor man has fear in his heart. A healthy fear of the government is understandable but fearing for your life from the bastards is crazy

Pleeez, stop quarreling because of me, I'm contented with my role as a mistress...lol... gave me the goosebumps...
Actually, no matter how much I'm disappointed with Manny, I have to admit when he get's into the ring, the ol' glory comes back, I guess it never fades. But he's got lots of haters out here in the Philippines now. The anti-Dutertes' were praying he lose the last fight. Kinda sad, right.

If Ali could be friendly with Mobutu and Marcos, I'm sure that Duterte will not hurt Mannys legacy.

Pacman is young in the faith. Give him a chance to grow and be more Christ-like.

I don't know a lot about the dynamics here, but from what I know and read about Duterte he makes Trump look like a saint. I have employed a few people from the Phillipines who speak well of him, it's a country with huge problems without question, and the greater good always becomes very difficult to determine in such a scenario. Of course if it's true he's personally been accountable for killing "street children" in his campaign, or is a rapist, then he should die by his own sword; but I am a person who believes in evil and that the only punishment can be in this life, so could be persuaded to some of his views if I heard the right facts. I also tend believe only people capable of inflicting this themselves would be able to carry out the counter measure, so it's a very tough call for sure. @walrus , what do you think jesus would have done?

Why would you possibly change your opinion on Pacquiao over this though is what I wonder. Have you never heard him speak before? He's obviously a very simple person, who gives a fck what he thinks about anything.

i am filipino and ive lived all my life in the philippines. duterte aint that bad. the media here and even in the US are extremely biased. if you look at the numbers compare it with past presidents. the number of drug related deaths are not far apart. just imagine this 900,000 voluntarily surrendered and has themselves listed as drug users/peddlers. 10k dead resisted arrest. 6k alive arrested and did not resisted.

if you have time pls watch the interview of senator trillanes in hard talk bbc. that sakur guy gets it. anti duterte people doesnt.
