Default hows about Canello v Billy Joe Saunders?

Just thinking everyone seems to be clamouring for Canello to fight GGG but how would you feel if he went in with BJS?

Then the winner of that fight goes to GGG and all of the belts are on the line and the division is unified with one winner takes all fight?

I'm not talking about the catchweights or anything like that I'm just asking if Canello would still get stick for ducking the big fights if he went in with BJS, after all he is a world champion as well (albeit not in the same league as GGG), I think its a good fight, BJS is a quality little boxer with a good chin, he seems to have a few stamina issues that could cause him problems in the later rounds but I wouldn't mind seeing it if the winner promised to fight GGG afterwards.

I'd love to see this fight, it's hard to know just how good Billy Joe is. But Canelo has struggled with slicksters in the past and Billy Joe has never been on the deck (in fact I can't remember ever seeing him get shook up).

Sadly there's more chance of an alien invasion than it happening.

It would be a decent fight but the issue for me is the mandatory thing. Canelo has to fight GGG first. I think Golovkin has waited long enough. So much that even that the WBC who views canelo as their champ had to give GGG some kind of acknowledgement with a champ status/ belt for what he's been doing in the ring. Its seemingly unavoidable and then canelo says GGG hasn't earned his shot. This just appears to be dodging.

Saunders said he wasn't ready for GGG before and then started yapping after GGG walked away, but i'm willing to give him a reprieve, he just became champ at the time and its his first opportunity. If canelo fights him and beats him, we go through this whole stalling thing all over again. So i think Canelo needs to fight GGG next or give up the strap. No stips, which has already started in my opinion (Maybe my feed was different than everyone else's, but I saw Canelo invite GGG to the ring afterward but didn't see him say boo or confront him on a mic. Then De la hoya is chirping from the back about private negotiations only and about calling him tomorrow. After how the biased judges had canelo ahead against khan. Now they want to have the fight in TEXAS of all places.

If Canelo gave up the belt and fought sanders for the wbo, i think sanders could do ok but i wonder if he could hurt canelo. Also keep in mind, Canelo isn't leaving North America , so Saunders would pretty much have to come here and knock him out cold just to get a victory.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Yeah I agree with a lot of that, we'll with all of it, BJS is a good slick boxer but I would just worry that he doesn't have enough pop in his punches to keep canello honest, having said that I don't think he gets knocked out I think canello wins on points but BJS gives a good account of himself.

I think that one of BJS's big problems is talking himself up and selling tickets, I mean a lot of fighters will know they are not ready for what is waiting for them in the ring but don't come out and say it when you are in line for a world title.

GGG for Canelo and the winner to fight BJS is my preference.

I think BJS would beat Canelo who has not fought a real middleweight yet.

Sure, that's a good fight, no going to happen of course. I think there are a handful of guys at 154 or 160 who could beat Canelo on a good night, although I'd like to see Golovkin get the payday and exposure as well, the fight would be a formality.

Does Canelo beat Charlo or Andrade at 154? Danny Jacobs, BJS, or Lemiuex at 160? Not sure. Pretty damn sure he's not going to go from fighting Khan at 155 to GGG at the proper weight, but I guess we'll see.
