Default WOW...WARREN SMOKES HENNESEYS BOOTS AND TAKES FROCH'S NEXT FIGHT!!!

Top promoter Frank Warren has won the right to stage Carl Froch's Commonwealth Super-Middleweight title defence against Ghana's Charles Adamu.

Purse bids were opened today at the British Boxing Board of Control's headquarters in Cardiff and the winning bid delivered by Warren will once again ensure that Froch gets one of his biggest ever paydays courtesy of a rival promoter.

The amount bid by Warren is believed to be double that of Froch's own promoter Mick Hennessy.

Warren will put the fight on at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester on Saturday 22nd September.

looks like Warren is looking at a Froch - Calzaghe fight somewhere down the line. Froch is prepared to work with Frank Warren to get the Calzaghe fight on, and Frank needs someone to take over after Calzaghe retires (which wont be for a while yet I dont think), politically this fight make sense. Another smart move by Frank Warren.

Question is, is he looking to make this fight soon, Joe's next defense, or is he hoping to build up Froch a little bit and make him fight Calzaghe somewhere down the line at the end of Joe's career, just like he did with Eubank and Joe.

Why on earth is he fighting Chalres Adamu though, who he has already beaten, when Robin Reid is callnig him out? At this stage in his career Reid isn't too hard to beat and he still has some name recognition. It'd also be a much better fight than Charles Adamu. And of course if Reid wins it means he gets the rematch he deserves for the first fight.

I was just thinking that,he's already beat him 3 years ago on points so should he not vacate?
Seems that way on the surface but scratch a little and think outside the box
Warren's up to something and there must be some method in his madness.
To be honest,Reid and Adamu are well beneath Carl now!
    Somethings going on

Joe has so many options for a 'super' fight and it pisses me off that he's not looking at anyone but Taylor.

Hopkins & Wright are unavailable, which we already know. But Kessler, Jones Jr and possibly even Tarver are all available. I would view any of those 3 as big fights for Joe too.
