Not sure if it's Floyd SR talking crap, or if it's true, I guess we'll find out eventually.

That would be very interesting. Wonder how they will mesh together if it happens
This is not the first time I've heard this murmur.
It was mentioned after Collazo and before Lazcano also.

Hasn't he said on numerous occasions Hatton is shit?
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
This is a bit odd but not as bad of a fit as it might sound to the ear. Sr. loves to work with guys who have some athleticism, which Ricky does and at this point I think Ricky has just slowed half a step and needs to be able to get inside without jumping in anymore and surely if anyone could solve the riddle it would be Mayweather. I'm sure he would teach him some stuff to use his way in to prevent him from getting check hooked again as he has been in the last 2 fights. Don't think we'll ever see Hatton doing the shoulder roll but I'm sure Sr. could help keep Hatton from getting hit the same way he kept De La Hoya from getting hit by teaching him to pick off punches with his hands while coming forward, which De La Hoya now does better then anyone in boxing probably. I'm sure he can do the same for Ricky.
I must correct myself, from the sources I have, Mayweather Sr.s main criticism of Hatton seems to be that he was too small to beat Floyd.

Ricky has said he only wants 2 more fights whats the point in changing trainer now unless he has a few more.
With Rickys current pace he would only be able to keep competing at top level in maybe 2 more super fights... A slight tweak and now Ricky could potentially longer his shelf life with a tune up Mayweather sr could provide
Not to mention with a fight with Pac on the Horizon, the less Ricky gets hit comming in against Manny the better
Well Buddy McGirt extended Arturo Gatti by showing him what defense was. Maybe Floyd Sr. can teach Hatton actual defense.
Oops
This is a good point, however, I will say that Gatti always had more boxing skills than people gave him credit for. Yes, he loved to brawl.. but the skills to be a slicker boxer were always there, and McGirt did a good job of bringing some of them out.
What I don't like about a Floyd Sr-Hatton pairing is that Floyd's defensive style tends to work best for fighters who are moving backward, side-to-side, or back against the ropes, and Hatton doesn't really do any of those things. He's a straight ahead fighter who pushes the action.
I imagine Ricky takes a good deal of motivation to peal off the flab. Floyd Sr. would ride him big time and for some reason, the wry British wit maybe, I have the feeling Sr.'s antics would suit Hatton well.
Oops
The only problem is the 2 understanding each other....
Floyd sr.. COOOMON..... MAAAAAN KEEEP YA GAWD DAM HANDS UP MAAN, YOU CANT BE EATING THAT MUCH SHIIT MAAN..
Ricky.. KISS ME FOOKIN ASS FLOYD... I'M DOING ME BEST HERE, KEEPING ME HANDS UP MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A BIT OF A POOF... as Ricky smiles chomping on his gum, then kisses Floyd on the forehead....
