You could tell that was a different slower and less active Holyfield. I was urging him to pick up the pace as he would beat Moorer. Think he even knocked him down in their first fight but was it his shoulder or heart condition that meant he could not do that extra bit more to beat Morrer? Very frustrating.

Actually Michael Moorer was strolling to a victory against George Foreman winning every round until he got in the way of that right hand. I think he hates himself for losing that fight.

I bet if you looked at the trousers hanging in his closet you could see the imprints on his clothing where he kicked himself constantly.

This one is tricky. The 'no business being there' seems to rule many of these out and leans more to huge upsets in odd ways? I think of maybe Ray Mercer going from a one man wrecking crew vs Morrison and then dropping his belt to instead take the 'easy money' vs Holmes and looking absolutely clueless. Or Mercer on the literal doorstep of a title fight and a million vs Bowe only to lose a tune up with Jesse Ferguson. Jeff Fenech getting one punch obliterated by Calvin Grove seemed inexplicable. Azumah Nelson having 4 friggin fights with James Leija and going 1-2-1.

Duran losing to Kirkland Laing was totally unexpected. Kirkland was brilliant that fight but Duran was a legend.

And yet he's so modest. He never even mentions it here.

Larry Holmes with everything on the line, 48-0, and failing to throw more than 10 straight right hand leads in 15 rounds against Michael Spinks, and failing to listen to Rich Giacchetti screaming/begging/cursing at him by the 8th round "Larry what the fuck is going on?! You're losing it man, you're blowing it! Throw the right, Larry, throw the fucking right!".....

And Larry didn't throw the right......

    And Michael Spinks won.
