R.I.P. to a great musician.
Chick Corea was a fucking monster and I saw him 3 times in NYC down in the WEst Village, twice at The Blue Note and once at the Vanguard: here is something only a week ago I watched which blew my mind --- what a great loss to music, Chick Corea, a Monster on the keyboards, a composer, and first heard him play in 1980 on Return To Forever album.
Fuck man saw him in nyc and new haven. Got to say hello and shake is hand (pre covid of course) talent on loan from god type of thing. Although our personal meeting lasted probably 3.5 seconds he seemed to be a genuine decent guy. Wow that brings back a lot of memories. I’m not going to read how he died for a while I’m gonna break out a vinyl record he signed and jam out a couple songs. When you think of the amount of musicians who touched the world walking around in their 80’s around the globe, you can’t help but feel a door is closing. Ever time we lose one of these guys damn man. I need need a zoom support group when Dylan or McCartney go, and Tess BFF beaner and Brock can alert everyone I cried because TBH I probably will.
This makes me sad. Very. May Peace be upon Him.
Return to forever Chick.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
