    A) I come from pride and hope and I've carried that with me throughout my 100+ fights. I'm #1 in the place I come from the person closest to me could never get off the ground and fly to my greatness. I guess you can say my introduction to the ring was by coincidence. I took my shirt off and next thing you know I'm in a ring. I did well as amateur so I turned pro. I lost 2 fights early on but that didn't bother me. I racked up some solid wins beating an indigenous fella, after that you can say I tamed two distant cousins. I then faced the ugliest guy around and left him looking worst.
    Hint1: I'm recognized as a 2 division champ but technically I won 3.
    pride and hope is the motto for the us virgin islands.. so after that it is simple.... a quick search on boxrec tells me emile griffiths is by far and away the best from there and the guy rated 2nd of all time had the nickname of the hawk(or some other bird, i have forgotten already)..

    the taking the shirt off bit is about griffith working working in a factory and was he hot so the manager let him work shirtless and some fellow spotted potential in his frame( :S) and took him to a boxing gym and that was that.. on his record he beat 2 fellows with the same surname then a chap with the nick name the ugly... not sure about the indigenous part though...

    @palmerq spot on...

    I come from "pride & hope" - Part of the Virgin Islands motto.
    #1 the place I come from - The best from the Virgin Islands second would be Julian Jackson (The Hawk) Could never get off the ground and fly to my greatness.
    While working at a hat factory on a hot day he took his shirt off and his boss noticed his physique then took him to Gil Clancy to train.
    Fought NY Golden Gloves and won.
    Indigenous fella - Gaspar "Indian" Ortega
    Two distant cousins - Jorge J. Fernandez known as The Bull of Pompeya & Florentino Fernandez known as The Ox... Bull & Ox are distant cousins.
    Ugliest guy around - Luis M. Rodriguez known as El Feo (Ugly).

    @IamInuit not Moore it's Emile.

    You wanna tell us how you came up with Joe Walcott?
    The throwing leather along with the height and dark nickname.

    For A I was trying to think of who had over 100 scraps that fought an indigenous person losing a couple of fights early. At first I thought it was Olivares and then went with Moore as both fought aboriginals from Australia.

    Joe Walcott is from a small colony in Guayana which over time has been ruled by different countries. It's located in South America.
    He was born in Demanara near a long river.
    Stood at just 5' 1-1/2" tall
    Was known for fighting anyone despite their height/weight advantage
    Dark nickname known as the Barbados Demon
    He has some opponents which don't have a complete name or record
    In his 1st shot at the title his manager agreed that if Walcott didn't KO the opponent Walcott would be declared the loser. Walcott did not KO him and lost.
    The kid stopped me this time around - Kid Lavigne
    I beat a mysterious looking guy - Mysterious Billy Smith
    As well as a young one - Young Peter Jackson
    Won his 1st title when he TKO'd James "Rube" Ferns in the 5th round.

    Try this one.

    I started my career winning half of my first six paid fights. My nickname I adopted some would debate due to my style , I had a patchy period but then reached good international levels. I failed in two world title fights. In these title shots I should have shown a bit of the nickname of the city im from and maybe I would have won.
    I finally won a World title by showing some animal cruelty in controversial circumstances.
    I retired at 38 after more than 10 title defences one of which was a controversial draw.
    I fought in three divisions during my long career.

    Who am I.

    Tough one is this my friend. Almost thought it was Armstrong but Baby and Casanova were not paper champions and he defended his 147 19 times. Another hint if you will.

    Cool bud. The patchy start, wins and losses building to three title tries so started thinking double digit losses. Also figured he was based in UK and you indicated modern. 'Animal cruelty and controversy', iffy tko of 'the Cat' Thompson and was big help .
