Must admit I drive a go-kart, aka Toyota Aygo, but I don't think I've ever paid more than 25 quid per tyre including fitting.
Road tax was £185 this year for me.
£90 to fill the tank.
£500 insurance
£30 MOT
and the tyres.

I must admit, having no family, I've never had a family car. Before this one I had an old Golf which was 110 a year to tax, and took maybe £40 to fill the tank. That was nice and cheap on tyres too.
Thinking of upgrading my Aygo to a Volvo C30 before the next MOT, so I'll probably be bitching a lot more about the costs once I have that.
Havent you guys got consumer affairs out there? Or one of those programmes you ring and tell them about it and they send out a lady driver with secret cameras in and under her car, then they publicly expose the bastards?
Yes we have but I think the branches are hit and miss, some are good other poor.
We had them investigate the RAC, who come out for car breakdowns, and they were selling car batteries when there was no need.
Aygo to a Volvo C30 looks good @superheavyrhun

Checked out the video for the C30 Polestar @Xwetie was talking about. Looks the bomb, shame it never went into production (as far as I can tell).
