Maybe he should try sparring in preparation for fights?

There are worse ways to lose a fight. Not such a huge step up heart wise but just could not box with the more experienced man. Interesting to see where Yarde goes next.
buddy mc girt been good for kov to keep him composed after rd 8. yard showed heart but don't see him ever be able to have great condition with those muscles
lol ward sayin never had opportunity to go to someone's backyard...
Here are my two thoughts.
First, many people have had a few rounds of success against Kovalev. His opponents know that Kovalev doesn’t like it to the body and that he gets tired. So his opponents will sometimes go all out for a few rounds and wear themselves out. Pascal did the same thing. So this is nothing new.
Secondly, Kovalev is obviously not the Krusher anymore. He is too old. He still has skills but is much more gun shy and has even worse stamina. There’s a reason why Canelo hand picked Kovalev.
Lastly, I actually like the announcing team of Ward, Bradley, and Osuna.
Inexperience cost him in the end. Hopefully he can come again.
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
Why are we even talking about Canelo vs Kovalev?
Canelo has yet to beat GGG in a clear fashion..why is Canelo not fighting the guys at his weight class?
Stop ducking a third GGG fight..he wants to fight Kovalev so he has the weight excuse when or if he takes the loss.
Kovalev is not what he used to be. It’s a very low risk high reward fight for Canelo. I think that Canelo could potentially pull it off. There is a reason that he is specifically going for Kovalev and not the other three belt holders at that weight. Kovalev has the name recognition and is definitely on the decline.
I do agree though that middleweight has plenty of good competition. I would be much more impressed if he cleaned out the division rather than jumping around hand picking opponents.
Never paid much attention to Yarde, lower level opposition and all. But he won me over tonight, especially in his post fight interview. Really like that kid and will root for him going forward.
This job is really ruining my boxing viewing, might have to quit. Missed everything was that last shot a half jab?
I missed this but glad Kovalev won. From the sounds of it he doesn't have many fights left.
