el rey came in well overweight. he took the fight on short notice & only had about six weeks for camp but still. we still have a fight as el rey made the same day weight requirements. chocolatito should be too good here

Have a feeling Chocolatito may really shine with Martinez flat feet and coming up in weight. Sounds like Martinez missed weight. May be a strategy to ensure not draining and having better chance. Even at this stage a Chocolatito scalp holds more respect than some 'silver' belt they literally just rolled out.

Thought Burgos took 10th but something tells me he may get the short end of the stick. No idea. Would rewatch but Mora and announce crew are shating all over the fight on whole .

Cards 96-94 Fierro...95-95 X2...a draw. Or in Burgos language another big payday to come

Little Gonzalez is looking pretty good again looks a few years Younger, although Martinez is coming alive in the third round. It'll be tough for old Gonzalez to keep it up the whole fight but he's so good.

mauricio was savage. i can see him struggling against a puncher with good bodywork. just give me mauricio v emanuel vaquero next. that is a fight. el rey is too crude for a surgeon like chocolatito. bring on the el gallo trilogy. chocolatito still has a lot to offer

Always been a big Chocolatito fan. The man has class... and is the pride of Nicaragua. In the ring he's always been the consummate warrior and always comes to fight. You always get your money's worth when watching Chocolatito Gonzalez.

That really was a complete clinic both offense and defensive. The gap in levels became apparent early but credit to Martinez never stopped trying and soaked up a precision hammering coming up (and over) weight. Seems like just a few years ago Spr. Fly was stacked...well it's back! Any combo of Chocolatito, Estrada, Bam Franco who just crashed thru the door, Fernando Martinez who grabbed a title in a foty candidate, Rungvisai in there and J.C Martinez staying put. Hell bring Ioka over again and be great to sort it all out. Just seems like sport focuses on so much bs last couple of years, the drama and tantrums, from too many young guys who have no intention of rolling the dice before they try to stake their claim . We'll probably get Chocolatito v Estrada III first out and as the last time, that will be good. On aside note think we've seen the second coming of Mayorga on the undercard. That Mauricio Lara all out war was insane. Does Warrington really want that again? I don't know.

It was a very good and dominant performance from Gonzales. He kept up the pressure and landed the more effective punches. Martinez was fighting erratic and frantic. Almost desperate at times as he tried to keep Chocolatito off him. Martinez took a beating for most of the fight and I do not know how Gonzales keeps going at that frantic pace.
