Well a Prime Cotto would have done better than the version he fought, but I wouldn't go so far to say he would have certainly stopped Floyd.
Paul Williams could have given Floyd a lot of trouble, dude just moved up to 160 since nobody at 147 or 154 wanted any part of him.
Alexis Arguello, Salvador Sanchez, would have certainly gotten to Floyd early in Floyd's career but that's putting Floyd outside of his own prime which is unfair.
Kostya Tszyu certainly had the pop to stop anyone.
Would have loved to have seen Kostya in there with Floyd... it's a shame he was washed up by then!
Would have loved to see Floyd doing the chicken dance that Zab did!
Floyd is a lame person, so people like to be silly about this. I'd only feel pretty sure about the first 3, and those were all big welters which wasn't Floyds best weight obviously. Not saying all the others wouldn't stand a good chance on a given night, except Pryor at least, who literally could not box.
Top 3 but old Shane nearly did it and Tito could do it too.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Shane hurt Floyd, he didn't nearly beat him. He got completely outclassed aside from 30 seconds of that fight, and in his prime Floyd would have been at a better weight for himself also.
We tend to forget that Floyd wasn't a natural welter. So I agree that the natural world class welters like Robinson, Leonard, hearns, etc would have beaten Floyd.
I always thought that Duran was good enough at cutting off the ring to make Floyd uncomfortable and win a decision. I think Armstrong would have given him trouble too because he has a hard time with fighters who really pressure him and that is the exact style that he fought. I agree that prime de la hoya and Mosley would have given him trouble but not sure if they would win. Sweet pea I think could out defense Floyd and win a close decision.
I doubt there are many people who would just destroy him. I mean, styles make fights so there is always a possibility of somebody being able to beat him easily but I would guess that would only be a few people in history.
And Tito does not beat Floyd. Sure, it's possible for him to end it with a huge shot but Tito really struggled with good boxers.
Not to mention, Floyds granite chinned uncle Roger Tszyu is one of the most overrated guys ever, if you listen to some people. Floyd would have schooled him.
If this is the list (and I would only go so far as the top 5), it really does show what a good fighter Floyd was.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
You gotta think out of the box when it comes to Mayweather. I'm not prepared to do it but what of a Quartey type. Think Hearns would also have Mayweather shitting himself. Loved Kostya but Mayweather would pick him apart. I'd be impressed watching Floyd try to do to Vasquez what Whitaker did to him.
May I introduce you to...AMIR...KING...KHAAAANNNN
