Anyone any thoughts on this one.
Camacho pre the Roasario fight was a fantastic fighter. Would be a great purist matchup

I liked the way Camacho would use the double jab, Hector would use the first jab to touch his opponents guard, in order to bring it down, then he would fire another jab off the first which would land right smack on the puss of his opponent. a thing of beauty really. I never cared much for Camacho over all , however he did some nice things in the ring.
Whitaker w 12 UD
Whitaker wins decision.
Whitaker wins this convincingly. He is another level of fighter skill wise.
I think this one is pretty easy. Camacho wins a round or two, at most.
Agree with you on that one, Camacho was good up until the late 80's but was never in Whitaker's class.Originally Posted by SweetPea
A solid win for Whitaker.
Pernell was a better fighter than Hector all around. I like Hector but he is not in the class of Pernell. Pernell fought consistently good fighters and his defense was amazing. Hector lost to Haugen and Pernell totally outclassed him. One is an all time great and the other would have been great had he not been hit with Rosario's left hook. But Hector's career to me was not to the level of a real legend.
its amazing how camacho changed after the rosario fight. he was an electrifying performer prior to that bout and then turned so safety firstOriginally Posted by LegendBoxing65
