Big fight in LA from 1959 features Jimmy Lennon with hair, Mushy Callahan as referee and Puerto Rican legend Carlos Ortiz. I've been meaning to educate myself about him for more than 30 years and this is my first time seeing him. Enjoy.

Carlos Ortiz is the one great Puerto Rican champion who doesn't get mentioned a lot here, probably mostly because of the time frame in which he fought (mostly the 50's and 60's). He was definitely before my time. But he's always in any conversation here on the island, of the great local boxing champions, particularly if talking with oldtimers.

I haven't seen much of his fights either, so thanks for posting this pretty good one. Among his more recognizable opponents was his trilogy with Panamanian champion Ismael Laguna.
