Well, I'm sorry, I tried, but if you still can't see it, I can't help you.
Come on, seriously, you're not that stupid that you don't get it are you?

Floyd is a great fighter, but he's also a great opportunist....dude name me a boxer Conor McGregor would beat in boxing....it ain't Bud Crawford
McGregor is a bitch for sure
But what does that have to do with Floyd?
A bitch? I personally wouldn't go that far, he's done quite a bit in his own field MMA and that's fine, he's just not a boxer.

What does that have to do with Floyd? Well Floyd was the one who made that fight instead of any other fight out there soooo yeah that's on HIM, he was "The Decider" and so now everyone can go and look back and see his record and they'll see the good, bad, and ugly of his career and they'll see McGregor and they'll say "What the fuck was that about 49-0-0 vs 0-0-0?!?!?"

Ok so basically a thread about IF..... Crawford called out Floyd, when he actually hasn't done it, and probably won't.

Us boxing fans are a rare breed indeed.

McGregor hasn't even defended a title in his own sport
He's a good (maybe very good) MMA fighter
But he's got a way to go before he can be called great.

As for Floyd, he is great in his own sport
Who cares how he finished his career? Nobody will care
Because most fighters finish their careers getting knocked out
Mike Tyson quit against Kevin McBride for fuck sake!
When people talk about Tyson they don't bring up Kevin
So when people talk about Floyd why would they bring up Conor?

Because it illustrates everything you need to know about Floyd caring more about his zero at the expense leaving a truly great legacy.

He already has built a legacy and Conor does nothing to change that.

Legacy of fighting MMA fighters, a fight 5 years past his best, Hatton at welter, weight stipulations against Canelo, great legacy.

Retiring on that fight is bush league, you know it, I know it, the boxing fans know it.....retire after Pacquiao? Great! Retire after beating a guy who has never boxed before? Not so great. And you're even dumping on it saying Conor isn't even a great MMA fighter HA!

McGregor and Hatton are both shit but what about the others...
Corrales, Mosley, Alvarez, Hernandez, Cotto, Marquez, Pacquiao
And De La Hoya? I'm sure you'll have excuses for them all
But fact is they're all hall of fame fighters (or future HOF)

@GaMo has already made it quite clear that it doesn't make it better, it is completely irrelevant because in the grand scheme of things no one will talk about that as being the highlight of his career.

I agree with him, people will look back at the Hattons, Ginger Pubes, De La Hoyas, Moseleys etc and his career will be judged on those names, if someone wants to pick holes in them then that is fair enough but signing off with a $100m exhibition fight is good business more than anything, in all fairness I can't believe it is still actually being discussed.

Floyd was suppose to win against a zero fight novice, talk about stacking the cards to ensure he won. What is that going to do to his legacy? Nothing. Just highlights the fact that this win means nothing.
