Default Our current problem with bad Refs and judges

Remember the second ward Kovalev fight where the ref took away the legit win from Ward? That is kind of what happened with GGG and Canelo. I'll explain.

The fight went about how I expected. I thought that GGG was getting a bit older and slowing down a bit and Canelo was in his prime now. That meant that I assumed that GGG was still going to win but it wouldn't be dominant. I thought he would win convincingly. Which he did IMO.

Here is the issue though. I gained respect for Canelo during the fight. He took big shots and looked exhausted. Despite that, he still threw and at least tried to win the fight. He put it all on the line. He was just outgunned.

Now that we have an obvious paid off judge, it makes us fans lose respect for Canelo and create more of a dislike for him. If he would have just lost, I think he would have gained some fans. Getting a gift only lost him fans. This has obviously been a problem forever and we haven't been able to fix it. I don't know what to do other than everyone just boycott fights where Adelaide Byrd is a judge.

If there is to be a rematch it should not be in the US. Let GGG take the fight to his hometown and have the same judges there ringside and dare them to show the same bias.

The thing is with Canelo's biggest fights there is a pattern of wide or bad cards. This is not a one off and I think it is one of the reasons people find him off putting. People know the fix is in, many of us suggested as much before the fight. It shouldn't be like that.

Adelaide Byrd has been doing it for years, nothing changes. There's a reason the Nevada commission (Vegas) keep all their refs/judges in house

Teddy Atlas bringing the truth. Boxing is beautiful, but it is corrupt as hell. I am not into the colored guy making excuses like he does, Teddy Atlas is on the money IMO.

    Colored guy?

    Is this the 70s?

Don't be scared to say black.

I lost interest in Teddy atlas when he had lomachenko above Ward, Crawford and GGG in the pound for pound list!

Teddy Atlas is a complete prick (wannabe tough guy) and a idiot who brings up old fights to try and sound smart.

That was a good debate from the Smith and Atlas.
