Default Where does Martin Murray go from here?

Fortunately for him, he's not affiliated with HBO or Showtime, Top Rank or Golden Boy, even Hearn or Warren. He must have plenty of options after his stellar performance against Martinez. Should he pursue a fight with Kid Chocolate? The winner of Golovkin/Macklin? Darren Barker? Junior if he fights at 160 again? Geale? Defend his European title against someone like Proksa?

I'd like to see him fight GGG as he looks pretty big and does have a tight defenses. It will be a good fight for either boxer.

I think he could beat Geale, Quillin or Proska. I am starting to think he might even trouble Macklin. Barker would have his number. Geale,Quillin or Macklin is where the money and exposure is.

    Nah thats career suicide.

Murray did well but for the second fight in a row he slowed up in the last round which cost him on the cards. Sergio looked his age, the injuries are taking their toll but hes still winning

I think it's a shame he can't get a visa to fight in America, so that could cause him a few problems in getting another shot at the tital

I want Murray to fight Barker and Macklin after they lose their next fights.

It's a shame really because he's probably going to struggle to get big fights now. He's not a big enough name to we worth loads of money, but he is really good and could beat you. Doesn't appeal for most.

There are some decent domestic dust ups for all of them, but I feel they deserve more.

Good point. He needs to get that worked out. Well, Barker might be the fight for him then, if he can't fight in the US. Would it be big in the UK?

He deserves a rematch really. Doubt he gets it though. I felt Martinez won, but barely. Murray will be fine. Question is where does Martinez go from here? Its near retirement time.

Another one of my pet peeves. Not only is boxing watered down by a litany of belt holders that don't fight each other but heaven forbid that a contender actually looks good fighting one of them. What ought to be a career booster at times is a career ender.

I thought the fight was very close. I would love to see Murray get a rematch. He deserves it. But I don't think it will happen.

I think his performance will have the opposite effect in that it will get him into other fights. Murray isn't dangerous like GGG is because he isn't a big puncher.

You know it could and that's a good point but I think he may be looked at as a spoiler. Like to see him sort it out in Britain. They should do a tourney.

Why can't he get a visa? Does he have a criminal record?
