Mosely vs ODLH I

I'm hesitant to even start a new thread on this, but just re-watched this fight on HBO and gained a new appreciation for it. I know I thought it was great at the time, especially because I'm a Mosley fan, but it's was even better seeing it with a decade of context.

BTW, I did think II was at best a draw for SSM.

This was the first big fight I ever seen live. I had pretty good seats. It was a great fight. I was more of a Mosley fan but still liked De la Hoya. It was funny; the section I sat in I was the only white guy lol. It was all "brothers", good thing I was cheering for there man Mosley lol. The 12th round was so exciting. I had the fight 7-5 Mosley. Great experience all around.

great fight in my opinion. had barrera v morales/trinidad v vargas not happened that year it would definitely had been fight of 2000 in my opinion. i think mosley did enough to nick it but it could have gone either way.

Thats just an insane amount of good fights in 1 year, all big fights aswell, i miss those days.

Thats definately a legendary fight that stands the test of time. Two ATG's in their primes going toe to toe. The hand speed was tremendous. Definately one of my favorite fights of all time.

Neither was DLH. You can't really consider a guy an ATG about half way into their career.

But it was prime Shane, vs a prime DLH. Two future ATG fighting in their primes.

Mosely was great that night and deserved the win, he didn't win the rematch and that denied us a 3rd!
