ESPN have reported it, though there are no specific potential opponents named:

Pretty embarrasing if it's genuinely the case. What does this even achieve?

I’m guessing he isn’t trying to accomplish anything. He just misses boxing. He is 47 years old though. It’s a little easier for HWs to come back and have some success because the power is there and the division is slower. There is just too much speed at lower weights and he won’t have the power to knock someone out with one punch (ala George Foreman).

We all know where ODH WANTS this to go he wants one last big money "ride into the sunset" fight be it vs Pacquiao (I was weight drained last time), vs Floyd (last time was too close not to rematch at 160 for a trinket title), vs Canelo (Old Master vs kinda old already a Master in his own right "Apprentice" ), or should it all fall apart Shane Mosley (one last time for all the marbles) OR a wildcard shout out for 2 fighters GGG & Miguel Cotto.

He has options, but I think this is either going to be play acting OR he's going to really struggle.

Maybe we can find Felix Sturm for THAT rematch LMAO

Man the Khan constant scramble for rehabilitation career relevance is embarrassing. His last 'fight' was vs a bloated Jr light ffs. Last time I saw Oscar he was pushing middleweight and looked like he was suffering an allergic reaction.

Ha! For all Oscars bullshit, good call on Sturm, would be poetic to see him hand Sturm a lesson but i think those days are long gone.

Cocaine is a helluva drug. His jab is faster than ever ? GTFOH Oscar looked bad 13 years ago. Better not hear any complaints when he gets stretched. Ancient lower weight fighters tend to not fare as well at advanced ages where speed, reflexes & athleticism matters more

Maybe he may go the "I'm scared of needles" route like Pacquiao to avoid testing.

Casuals need to stop supporting these freak show fights. The more people buy into them - the more we will get. Eventually an old fighter will die and they will stop giving out licences - all so predictable.

But I can smell ODLH vs McGregor. Fcuk Dana White
