Jackie Chan lives in Hong Kong he has many properties and he showed one on TV and it had loads of secret rooms which was cool.

so sad how the rest of his life turned out
I liked his first film hard to Kill and possibly Nico? but thought he was getting fatter and the films worse so gave up on him. I did like his realistic moves for fighting simple and effective.

yeah Above the Law is aka Nico - which i thought was his first and HTK was his 2nd.

i think sometime after Under Siege 1 or 2 he plummeted

I'm glad this thread is still alive and doing well. Everytime when I visited here the first thing I used to do was to dig up this thread from the deep rubble here and brought it to life...

The martial art Segal uses is called Aikido, one of the most esoteric of the Japanese martial arts, which empashized the another esoteric concept of ki (or chi in chinese) in its teachings and trainings. Mostly it utililizes twists and light throws using opponents energy or momentum against himself...
Once in awhile, get outside in fresh air, take a deep breath & with a deep sigh, let out all the things that's bottled up inside you & be free, & you'll get a glimpse of nirvana.

It wont disappoint.. Iko Uwais is my new favorite, on screen Martial Artists.. His style is believable too unlike cough cough Steven Segal lol..

Tony Ja has been watered down alot in the past few years..

In Asia, Iko Uwais is being pushed as the next big thing in the Martial Arts movie industry..

BTW Grappler, speak of the devil, some of us were dogging on Segal in the other thread, not sure if you saw it but.. lol

Does Segal really qualify to be in this thread?

A young version does, he had simple but effective moves like pool balls in a handkerchief.

That was a young, slim and deadly Seagal. Now he is exactly the opposite.

I'm biased against Seagal because I hate him and I think Aikido is nonsense, but he did play a pretty good badass.
