Nigel's son does not want him to box.

But his son sound really enthusiastic when he said "he's back 100 million percent;! it's definite the contract is signed!!! Like that with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. I believe you if he sad it like you say it but from the first mention of it it seem like there's a lot of excitement and enthusiasm

Even before it was officially announced his son was telling him not to do it. Yes he probably said what he did but definitely sure he is against it but what can he really do it say to his dad?

yes I agree that kind of a son will have to respect his father and show that he care about his health. But same time he has to respect his father choose to take the chance to fight again because he was big celebrity. Can I imagine just say no to a big celebrity, no! I am thinking this will end up so bad

You're absolutely correct, and I don't know why this doesn't get mentioned more often. They say power is the last thing to go on a fighter, whereas speed and reflexes are among the first to go. Well guess what the lighter weights are chock full of? That's right..... speed and reflexes. Which is why heavyweights have usually been the ones to come back at ridiculously high ages.

Nigel Benn is 55. That's 5 years removed from being 60 years old, FFS. Anyone want to bet that the day is coming soon where a professional fighters wants to break the envelope and be the first to fight professionally at 60? That's when we'll just need to throw a huge tent over the whole thing and start selling popcorn out front, next to the bearded lady tent.

Just because Benn's been lucky and his brain scans have come back clean, doesn't mean he isn't one hard punch away from having to drink through a straw for the rest of his life.

Weight, not wait, my bad. 55 he better shoot for a first round knockout or he's risking his health. Brain scanns are fine even 60 year olds can pass exams. Putting on the gloves is a whole nother can of worms.

And the question that springs to mind is will that circus be in the UK or Japan?

Probably the best news to come of it, glad it's off. Benn doesn't need that circus nonsense. Off to watch DeWitt v Benn for the umpteenth time.
