I'm thinking this really was aliens. They did not have any technology like that yet and probably still don't. Why was this even reported like this? Where is the video? Where are the photos? No way Russia or China had anything like that. I think the US is probably a little more advanced than Russia or China and if we did not have anything like that then they did did not either

A more plausible explanation maybe the USA may have faked it to hide that they have the technology and were afraid that someone may have spotted them via satellite and and to come up with an excuse.

Not aliens, whilst I believe that there is life outside of earth, if they have the capabilities to make contact with earth then they will be so far advanced that they would have no need to do so, if they are looking for a planet similar to their own then there are hundreds, thousands, millions that would be closer to them than ours that they would have to pass in order to get to ours.

Ever wonder what sort of testing a Government could get away with if they simply say "yeh we saw it too" and head it off . How does a bewildered F-18 pilot differentiate between a ufo turning invisible or disappearing in a flash?
