why wouldn't he want to balance out the home time advantage/cooking that goes on...
I'd thought Froch vs Ward was originally going to take place in Vegas. If I were Froch, i'd flat out refuse to fight in Los Angeles, Atlantic City wouldn't be too bad, but hey, why not make Ward travel to the UK? If i'm not mistaken Ward hasn't fought one time in the Super-six tourney outside his nest in California, that's bullshit.
Froch could always pull out??

Well I would rather froch pulled out to b honest!!
He could just go for the wbo that way he still a world champ??
I couldnt see froch pulling out, hes a warrior, has always chased the best fighters and never dodged anyone resulting in some recent fights turning into wars, pascal, kessler, johnson etc, it would be great if the fight was in the uk to improve frochs following/fanbase and get him exposure on the big sky shows, i dont think frochs had half the respect/acknolgment he deserves
You're putting too much emphasis on the Super Six. Ward is clearly the top dog at 168 right now, undefeated and with the Olympic pedigree. The top fighter always calls the shots and the Suoer Six won't prevent that.
Ward, as the recognised man in the division right now obviously looked at the Froch Dirrell fight, and the recent Strum Macklin fight and has decided it's not worth the risk of fighting in a foreign land, in what will almost certainly be a 12 round fight.
Froch has less options ultimately as he is a big underdog in this fight and has been beaten by a guy Ward took apart with ease.
I like Froch, but he's going to have be more flexible than Ward regarding home advantage if he wants this fight. Ward has plenty of options, Bute, Hopkins and maybe even Martinez are possible opponents for him.
I don't see why Ward has all the say!!! He really doesn't sell alot of tickets or get general boxing fans to tune in to his fights on tv.
If you can't get people to watch live or on tv then you shouldn't have the say.
Yeah it would be nice if this fight could happen in Vegas or Atlantic city. In Ward's defence, he has soundly defeated everyone he has faced in the tourney so far, the fight's could've happened on the moon with 3 baboons judging and the outcome's would've pretty well been the same. You can't remotely say that about Froch's "victory" over Dirrell, it stunk to high heaven but there was no way Froch actually won that fight, scoring it for him is practically impossible imo. I don't agree with Bilbo about Ward having that much pull either, I think it must have been more or less something his promoters had Showtime agree to beforehand(his fighting at home). There was no reason Kessler should've had to come to Oakland when he was the far more credible fighter. I imagine it just comes down the fights being as profitable there as anywhere in the States, rather than Ward himself actually being able to call shots.
I was thinking the other day what ever happened to the guy G0MEZ on here who was friends with Froch and would always give us inside details on him...
I don't understand why this had to be so tough.
Just do a purse bid.

I think they should do the fight up in Canada. It's a great place to have a fight, and it would draw even more interest in a Bute-Ward fight after he beats Carl. Doesn't matter where this fight takes place, i don't see Froch winning this one. Canada sounds like the logical choice for me.
