It's been a wild ride and few thought he'd see 48.
Glad I got to see him fight on live TV, even if it was in his latter stages in the early 2000's.

Mikes alright. He's had more loose screws than some kids Erector Set but we miss him. Happy birthday champ
I'm glad to see him with his head on straight. Happy Birthday, Mr Mike Tyson.
Happy Birthday Mr Iron Mike Tyson sir.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I feel extremely fortunate to have come of age in a time when I saw Iron Mike Tyson's development on regular network tv.
Turn on the MSG fights and see this young sensational attraction knocking peoples' blocks off every few weeks or so.
1st time I ever saw Mike Tyson, he was 19 years old, just a few years older than me, in his 14th fight which was against a 6'5", 250 lb dude, Big Sam Scaff.
Tyson was only 9 months as a pro, and Cus D'Amato was already gone on to the Spirit-World, a month before the Scaff fight.
They were having Tyson fight every 2 weeks because Cus had said to keep him in the gym and keep him fighting, otherwise he's gonna get himself into trouble.
Even when the competition increased to World-Class level, the KOs kept coming.
Iron Mike Tyson circa 1986-1988, phenomenal fighter...
Happy 48th Birthday, Mike Tyson.
One of the most compelling figures in contemporary history.

I will always believe that 1988 Mike Tyson has a shot against anybody in history! If he retired after Spinks, NOBODY would have him outside of their top 10 all time HWs. Peoples memories are just tainted by the shadow he became! A very shot prime, but a great one!

I had that poster hanging in my bedroom. A big scrap book. First fight they showed of his was against Frasier. Awesome destruction.

It's still amazing to me to watch Tyson do his shows on TV and even give it a go at comedy. Seeing how he pretty much self-destructed in his early years... and considering where he came from... makes his turnaround even more amazing.
