Lemiuex is an average fighter with a good left hook and that’s it
He's no world beater and he's lucky he ever held a belt to be honest.

As for Mayweather, he would have beaten Golovkin
He's far more skilled and is just on another level.

Wow bro, I know you're a diehard Canelo fan, but.......

Lemieux shit? I think he'd beat Canelo at MW, that's how shit Lemieux is.

Then Floyd beating GGG? Now I know you've gone over the edge.

They shouldn't even be compared, as GGG has never shown any inclination to fight at any other weight but 160, a la old school.

So if they fought, it would have to be at 160. Suicide for Floyd. Don't mistake Floyd's embarrassing shutout of Canelo for thinking he would have success against GGG. Two different animals in there. Floyd showed the world Canelo didn't belong in the same ring with him. GGG would be a different story altogether. Too big. Now if GGG were to starve himself down to 154 or less.... then we might be talking a different story, as Floyd would be more comfortable at that weight.

Floyd would have beaten GGG at 154 and below.

Ward would have beaten GGG st 168 and above.

GGG is fortunate enough to not have a Floyd or Ward at his weight class.

He just has a little Canelo that has already been schooled by Floyd and Lara.

GGG ass rapes Floyd at middleweight and even if Floyd had the balls to fight him at light middle he would have stipulated he come in at 155 lb just to get even more of an advantage.

@Batman I just find it strange that folks on here routinely criticise Floyd and try to pick holes in his career but then suck off somebody like Lemuiex! If David was 10% the fighter Floyd was then he'd be a lot better than he is now.

Forget Floyd he is retired and embarrassed with his last fight.

Lemuiex would be 50/50 fight against Canelo.

@Master he rapes Floyd based on what? His knockouts of European level fighters like Macklin and Murray? You say Floyd has cherry picked opponents yet he's fought better than Golovkin. In fact GGG's biggest fight is against a guy Floyd has already beaten which tells you all you need to know. What happens when GGG gets beaten on Saturday by a guy that Floyd handled easily? Really looking forward to the excuses.

@TitoFan come on, who has David beaten? He wouldn't even beat Cotto let alone Canelo.

I think the main difference between the two is that Floyd is a talker and Lemuiex is a fighter, Lemmy is happy to get embroiled in a war if it is necessary and the fact that he is on the fringe of the best but is always poking around and not giving up is endearing

Floyd, for as good as he was 'never took risks' and 'his style was boring' and he is the self proclaimed 'TBE' all that shit gets peoples backs up.

don't take offense over the hate that Floyd gets and the love that Lemmy gets, its more about personality and I don't think that even @Master would suggest that Lemmy is a better boxer than Floyd

And Master would rather bathe in his own shit than praise Floyd.

@Batman Honestly Floyd's last fight was more entertaining than David's last fight and Floyd has had some decent battles in his career (Burton, Corley, N'Dou, Cotto) as well as some really enjoyable performances (Gatti, Corrales, Alvarez) he's only been in a couple of awful fights (Pacquiao and Baldomir)

GGG would need to move up after Canelo and Saunders late 2018 to conquer the 168 divison if he still has the legs.

Canelo will just pick up the scraps around 160 and probably beg Floyd out of retirement again AFTER he becomes the man at 160 when GGG leaves.

At 40 years of age and 1 fight every 2-3 years he has gave every advantage away.

He has nothing to prove to anyone anymore..just accept it.

Sometimes it's not the names he fights, GaMo. Sometimes you just look at a guy fight and you get a feeling about his worth as a fighter. I thought David put on a pretty showing against GGG even in defeat. Golovkin knew he'd been in a fight. Lemieux-Canelo would be an entertaining fight, like GGG-Canelo will surely be. But I wouldn't count out David against Canelo.

No, he's correct. Golovkin scrapped a razor close decision against Jacobs and that's it! Everyone else he's beaten has been complete garbage. I don't like Carl but he's spoken the truth here.

    Complete garbage is harsh.

GGG deserves his props for beaten everyone at his weight class but Fighting/bullying brook was a joke.
