    Some of Vitali's wins:

Tomasz Adamek (44-1) - Ring Top 5 HW, former Ring and linear CW Champ, LHW Champ

Corrie Sanders (39-2) - WBO HW Champ, hardest punching southpaw, coming off win over Wladimir, Ring #2 HW

Sam Peter (30-1) - WBC HW Champ, Ring #2 HW, tough as nails, dangerous big puncher, coming off wins over Maskaev, Toney X2, McCline

Herbie Hide (31-1) - WBO HW Champ, coming off 2nd round KO win over Tony Tucker. Riddick Bowe was badly hurt several times and almost KO'd by Hide. After the fight Bowe admitted he was out on his feet several times and said Hide was the hardest puncher he ever faced.

Chris Arreola (27-0) - Undefeated #1 contender, tough as nails, dangerous knockout artist, Ring top 10 HW.

    Odlanier Solis (17-0)
    - Undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist, Ring #10 HW at the time

Juan Carlos Gomez (44-1) - Very skilled slick southpaw, Ring Top 10 HW, one of the greatest cruiserweights of all time, made 11 world title defences

    Shannon Briggs (51-5)
    - 2 time HW Champ, dangerous big puncher, last American HW champ

Larry Donald (39-2) - dominated Holyfield, had never been dropped or stopped until he fought Vitali...Vitali was the only man to knockdown and KO the iron-chinned Donald, floored him 4 times.

Danny Williams (32-3) - dangerous puncher, coming off 4th round KO win over Mike Tyson.

Kirk Johnson (34-1) - Slick boxer/puncher, coming wins over Maskaev, Donald, only previous loss was beating Ruiz until he got disqualified for low blows

He made a lot of money for being an ok fighter. Beat some mediocre competition but again, he's made tons of money which is the main thing really.

He made a career by "almost " beating lewis..

Great fighter, modern-day HW legend. Great skill, great composure. Solid jab, great straight right. Took a lot of solid, high ranked HW's and made them look like dog shit.

(Fought lewis as a last minute replacement, lost on cut's! Lost to byrd due to a shoulder injury sustained at some point during the bout. Was ahead on cards in both fights!)

A 3X HW champion, never been floored or hardly ever dropped a round. ATG comeback. U cannot fail to respect this man (Considering he has been plagued with injuries throughout his entire career!) Good luck with your post fight career champ it has been a pleasure following your career...

Hes like danny glover, liam neelson and oliver mccall.

He has that toughness that would be available in the ring or on the streets.

Even though he didnt beat lennox...
in a way he did retire lennox and that was a win in itself!

I always liked his swag though. Dude had this mean streak to him like he wanted to punish his opponents. Imagine if Wlad had his mentality.

    Vitali > Wlad for sure..

Great fighter, hard hitter, very tough and determined. Stood out over all competition for the last 10 years. Would have KO'd his brother in 5. I personally rank him #14 ATG Heavyweight boxer.

I never really understood why there was any hate for Vitali. He always brought a fight, put combinations together well and wasn't a holder like his brother. Also had a superb chin on him. Top fighter and a classy guy. I never really got bored watching him fight.

you're quite right even though he slowed down quite a lot in the last couple of years in his career he was never a boring fighter, he was quite the opposite when he was in with a guy who wanted to fight, hats off to vitali he was a lot more versatile than wladimir is and I think that puts him ahead of him on the all time list for me.
