I can't see how compubox came up with the numbers they did... Collazo far more accurate and landed far more shots than Hatton from what I saw.

hatton landed a lot of punches in the rounds that he won that's why ended up landing more..and he landed a lot of body shots..

They must of been scoring every time he went to the body. But I agree it didn't look like he outlanded collazo. IMO alot of his body shots were blocked too.

When I think about it it was really his body shots that keep him in the fight. Other that that he wasn't getting much else done.

I think people need to remember 'Compubox' is actually a person(s), counting the punches landed, and giving their opinion, is certainly is not a 'matter of fact', merely an educated guess, if you will

And the reason I suspect that Compubox came up with Hatton landing more punches, is probably down to body shots, which seemingly unlike the amateurs, actually counts in the pro game.

Because Hatton in the rounds he won he landed 30+ punches. And in the rounds Collazo won he held Hatton to single digits or around those numbers. Compubox is inaccurate since it scores accumulative when fights are scored by rounds. If they had seperate compubox for each round I think it would be better.

I think they counted all the punches hatton hit Collazo's arms with...I didn't see him outland Collazo either...and Hatton only landed 10 solid body shots tops...the rest were glancing blows that should not have been counted....but now that we know the fight was going to Hatton unless Collazo KO'D him anyway.....
It feels good to be back home.

First of all, im British and im a hatton fan and ill admit that i was surprised that hatton won by unamimous decision, it i thought that collazo won by 1 point.

It makes me laugh when people say when hatton fights the 'big boys' of his divison he wont stand a chance, hatton is a big boy himself, thats why hes 41-0-0.

As for the fight itself, ricky hatton was stronger in the opening rounds than he usually is, but 7 pounds of muscle come at a price as hattons workrate was no where near as aggresive as the kostya fight. with this said i think PBF would tear apart ricky at welterweight, i just dont see why ricky stays at light-welter and fights cotto, that would be a great fight. although i think maybe ricky should try 1 more fight at welter weight with an orthodox fighter as he does have problems with southpaws which was backed up last night.

I know all of you saw ricky's face...but did you wait and see collazo's?

It was crooked.....and both of his eyes looked like they were gonna cut pretty soon......

Ricky DID land more punches they just were not Dramatic.

Simple fact is you have to have a KNIFE to cut someone to the body!

collazo just looked like he'd been raked all night...it seem as if a alot of ricky holden's punches grazed collazo to the head...

I find it hard to believe or accept the compubox statistics. Hatton was throwing enough punches but few seemed to be landing anywhere but on the side, shoulder, arms, gloves, etc. Few of Hatton's punches looked effective or clean. Collazo's defence was quite good the whole fight. Almost all the obvious, clean punches were landed by Collazo who (in my view) clearly was becoming increasingly dominant as the fight went on.

I've seen this before with compubox, but most of the time the punch count is fairly accurate. Maybe someone who recorded the fight can watch it again with an open mind and see.

Because compubox means nothing. If it meant something then Delahoya would have 2 extra losses on his record.

when you're counting punches that land on a guys arms and shoulders it's not hard to outpunch anyone, because you pretty much can't miss. I respect the hell out of a body shot but I didn't see Hatton landing very effective body shots the entire fight. The hatton bandwagon is rolling again.

    That's the right answer.
