strange to see that russell is more active than his opponent

Great fight. Russell Jr's stubbornness to make "big" fights may have backfired.

Hopefully someday he can get Warrington to fight, but until then this is a very good fight. Keep taking on top 10 guys Gary, and for the love of god for once in your career stay busy

I can’t give Russell props unless he fights the top guy. He is way too inactive to ever not fight the best.

Fair enough, but what if the top guy won’t fight? He’s begged pretty much every top guy and they all say no. Should he just retire?

I don’t hear Russell call out top guys. He is pretty silent. I’ve heard him say a few things before about fighting a guy here or there, but overall he has no ground to stand on unless he is actually fighting which he isnt. I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. He has done this to his own career.

Maybe some of the other featherweights are ducking him. That’s a possibility, but that doesn’t mean that the opposite isn’t true also.

Why does it feel like Russell Jr has been fighting since the 90's . Making his annual foray into the ring is good. Very happy King Tug is getting his shot should be a competitive match but speed of Gary is daunting. Ol Showtime looks like it's stepping it up schedule wise. Good!

This is a good fight, King Tug has deceptive power. He might be catching Russell at the right time. I'm sick of Russell's 1 fight a year schedule.

Just a few examples in this article for you since you don’t seem to hear it. But he’s out there all the time chasing the people around him

I’d love to hear who you think he is ducking

Don’t know who he is specifically ducking, but like I keep saying, you can’t fight maybe once a year and pretend like you are asking for big fights. Talk is cheap. Everybody knows that Russell is a joke for never fighting.

He has been a huge waste of talent throughout his career. I don’t believe for a second that he hasn’t been able to get fights for his whole career. Loma is really the only good fighter he has fought.

This isn't directed at you, but I could provide a bunch of videos and articles of fighters calling out Russell Jr. Fighters such as Mikey, Farmer, Santa Cruz, Warrington of the top of my head. If they aren't fighting then I'm not interested in talk. Sure there are guys that are avoided, Rigo for example at 122 I feel was highly avoided. But there is no excuse for Russell's 1 fight a year schedule. If he can't get big fights, fine, there are still decent contenders he could fight, I don't feel 2 fights minimum a year is too much to ask of a belt holder.
