His draw with Markus Upshaw pretty much told the story of his career. Hes a good fighter, but not great. This just proved yet again that the not an elite fighter, and never will be. I wish him luck though if he continues.

He is not that good anyway, so who cares?
I honestly think Buddy will sit him down and we'll see Jr. retire.
Look at it this way. Would you go out of your way to watch him fight?

McGirt is done, he showed he could handle someone that keeps coming forward, he showed that he couldn't keep pace with an ancient journeyman. If McGirt doesn't retire after this I'll be shocked.
This is what happens when you get put in soft too often. I don't even give him much credit for beating Joval, that was not the Joval of yesterday.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Even though I agree hes not a great fighter, saying he should retire based on a losing performance really makes no sense either. Should every guy who loses a fight retire? Hes still young and if he wants to continue he should. He may never win a title but hes a competitive fighter and IF he enjoys it, he should continue to do it. Everyone saying he should retire are the ones putting all the pressure on him to live up to his fathers name.

I actually scored the fight for McGirt. I thought he did enough to get the win. But that doesn't change the fact that he's just average. He has journeyman written all over him
