Making his return back in the squared circle after a ten month layoff is two time super flyweight titlist Martin “Gallito” Castillo (30-2, 16KO). “Gallito” or “little rooster” has not visited a ring as a professional since his defeat at the hands of Nobuo Nashiro to relinquish his WBA super flyweight title last summer in the land of the rising sun. Castillo took time off to have surgery to alleviate scars from previous cuts over his eyes and to shave off some his brow to try to prevent such cuts. Although Castillo has not fought in almost a year, his name had been mentioned as a possible opponent for the current WBC super flyweight title holder Cristian Mijares as well as newly crowned Alexander Muñoz who holds the very same WBA strap that Castillo lost. Muñoz snatched it from Nashiro days ago by unanimous decision. Now Castillo is ready to return in a tune up fight to prepare for what would be the third time against Muñoz if the fight is made. Castillo has twice defeated Muñoz. No opponent yet has been named for Castillo this Saturday.
