sparing my brother

if i spar my brother (he does karate) and i let him to some karta stuff on my aswell (no kicks or graples just pounching) would this improve my technique?

Would help reflexes and reaction time I guess. I spar with bro aswell.

As Bruce Lee put it, you learn how to fight by fighting. Alotta my friends are disciplined streetfighters, but since they don't know what they are doing wrong they are picking up bad habits and making mistakes. If you just fight with your brother, you'll pick up bad habits unless you are properly trained. If you wanna really improve your technique, go to a boxing gym, pickup the skills through training under a watchful of the coach.

Just be careful, I sparred my brother and my cousin when I was a kid. They are two and four years older than me respectively. They told me I could wear the headgear ( we only had one). That should have made a flag go up. I usually got beat up and ended up with a headache. My mom would tell them to stop beating me up. Lol.
