I am since Chavez Jr fight can't be made.
Geale is a gutsy and tricky fighter.
Source ?
Firstly Khazikstan is in Asia not Europe and so there are probably many Non-Europeans interested in watching GGG fight.
Secondly long gone are the days (if they ever existed ) where the USA dominated boxing across the World.
Thirdly most genuine boxing fans will have much more than a passing interest in watching Golovkin fight whether they rate him or not.
Fourthly your continued refusal to face facts and give Golovkin even the most begrudging of respect is starting to hugely undermine your own judgement
Fifthly Daniel Geale as well as being the former WBA/IBF world title holder at middleweight has a decent ranking across all boxing tables, 3rd in RING ratings, 5 in Boxing Monthly and 3rd in Sugars so the idea that he is a nobody in a crap fest is just sour grapes and has nothing to do with reality
The only unpleasant news is the fact that you still have the nerve to rate Quillin and people like Fury above Golovkin when it comes to quality and level of competition faced, despite all evidence pointing in the other direction.
Geale isn't elite but he is significantly better than the proposed mandatory. A Geale fight is way better.
The Middleweight division isn't very good right now. Especially with Quillen fighting on the rival network. But outside of Martinez a Geale fight is about as good as you can do.
I want to see GGG against elite fighters as much as anyone. But if elite fighters aren't available (cough cough Wards available cough cough) Geale is a nice option.
I don't see how this is unpleasant news. Geale is a much better fight than Fletcher.
Golovkin is facing a former Champion, what's the problem he will give it a go it's not as if GGG
is facing a novice. What's a meaningful for GGG you can only beat who is in front of you lets
face it Geale is NO BUM.
Come on this is a good match-up and don't listen to the members of the drive-by media as one of our radio talks show hosts puts it. We know what real is and they don't because creating their version of what a champion is is like forgetting to flush, it stinks and there's less to explain.
He should fight Fletcher and Geale the same night. A 12 rounder to open and close the card
Geale is the best opponent outside taking on one of the belt holders. If he isn't moving up in weight and can't face Quillin because of rival networks, he should unify with Sturm next.
Nobody cares about Geale...
Top 5 MW don't mean shit nowadays.
Geal is a solid fighter...nothing more....nothing less.
GGG is not a young fighter..especially when you consider the over 300 amateur fights he's had.
He doesn't have time to waste on guys like this.
Things would be different if we were talking about some 22 y/o prospect.
By the time GGG steps up the game will have passed him by.
This will be a great fight , I'm looking forward. This is GGG's toughest test to date.
