    Default 2012 British Open

Well, the first round is over and.... AARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
Tiger Woods is tied for 6th at 3-under.
    No-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o!!

I want that sore loser, arrogant, full-of-himself jerk to lose!
I actually hope he never wins another major, so Jack Nicklaus' number of major titles won't be broken, at least not by Woods.

Here's hoping for a quintuple-bogey tomorrow in at least 3 out of the 18 holes for Woods.

It does put him in a great position, but Rory is not far behind, I fancy him or McDowell for the Open this year.

I wish I took the 10/1 about Tiger. If the weather stays as it currently is, and Tiger keeps the ball in play like he did yesterday, he'll shoot low again.

I backed 4 players at the start (Fowler, Poulter, Rose and Harrington). Harrington sneaking up there

No need for the word British in your Titlle

    Its THE Open

I actually want to see Woods win. Despite his flaws as a person (that most blokes probably applaud him for) I like to see the best win (exceptions were 80s Steve Davis and 90s Stephen hendry).

How did Adam Scott blow that, dropping 4 shots in the last 4 holes.
But well played big Ernie , its been a long 10 year wait for a major.

Don't usually get into golf but god I felt sorry for Scott at the end of that.

I honestly think he had too big a lead going into those last four holes which made it worse for him !

Class from Ernie though to not overdo his celebrations and acknowledge what Scott had gone through first rather than put it down to his own game - though at the end of the day that was the lowest score !

I'm not a massive golf fan, but I enjoyed watching this tournament. The implosion at the end was dramatic, but I am glad Els won as he was the underdog and I was willing him on. I was thinking of putting a bet on him and Snedeker but I chickened out. If I had he wouldn't have won. It is one of those intergalactic jinx things. Everything I do can have an impact on the world at large. Arguably. Possibly. And so on.

I'm GLAD Ernie Els won. He's a classy guy (unlike Woods).

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Woods may someday pass Jack Nicklaus in career majors. But he'll always be second-rate when compared to the Golden Bear. Nicklaus had class, PLUS... he finished 2nd many more times than Woods will ever even approach. And he (Nicklaus) did it against much better opposition (Tom Watson, Gary Player, Lee TreviƱo, etc.).

F*ck Woods. I can't wait for the next phenom to come along and steal a few majors from him.
