Could be one hell of a fight, and one hell of an upset. Personally i am very impressed with Quintana and I think he can box his way to a hard fought unanimous decision over his fellow countryman and possibly stop him. What do yall think?

Carlos Quintana very well could be the most under appreciated talent in the division right now.Originally Posted by BoomBoom
I honestly think that he could pull off an upset...but not a KO.
I will never NEVER bet against Cotto...until he fights Castillo.
If Cotto would just get back to his "smart box" persona...I'd be a whole lot more secure with putting my eggs in one basket.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
Im with Wacko if Cotto comes in boxing and using his jab, and most importantly keep his defence up, and not try to tear through Quintana, cotto can take this one, but he has to be smart. Im confident cotto will win, his left hook is preety effective against south paws.
Im going for a Cotto decision or Late Stoppage but has to use his talent to figure out Quintana in the first half of the fight. Will be a VERY tough fight for both men, cant wait.
If this ends up happening, have to give respect to Cotto, and Quintana, but especially Cotto cause it would be the first fight at 147. Much more dangerous fight than an old Oktay Urkal IMO.
I don't know who I'd pick, might go with Quintana cause I don't know how Cotto will be at 147. But considering how much he had to drain himself to make 140 he might be better for the move.
Here comes 'El Cucuy'! Cotto is gonna bust Quintana up and leave him stretched out under the boardwalk hall in Atlantic City.
Is this just a hypothetical match bro or is it really happening? Any how,I would not be happy if this was Cotto's first fight at 147 simply because he would be taking on one of the most dangerous fighters at 147 in Quintana and could very well lose. It would be a great fight and I can see Cotto being the agressor but I would like to see him box and let Quintana come to him too, maybe he is not as effective on the front foot?
Bad matchup for Cotto. But if it happens (*I don't think it will), I won't miss it!!!
*What kind of promoter is willing to guarantee a Cuban loss, because they are both fighting each other. Cuban fighters are too much of value. heh
Nope its already scheduled to happen.Originally Posted by El Gamo

Here comes Quintanas first defeat. Maybe even gets knocked the puck out!
Here comes 'El Cucuy'!
Thanks man, but I never trust Box Rec. They always "jump the gun" on fights. I still don't think a promoter will put two promising Cubans, who haven't fought a *Big Fight, against each other.Originally Posted by Danny_G
Great fight though, I'd be cheering for Quintana.
*Cotto vs Hatton, Mayweather, Castillo, etc.
I am not sure if you are playing about them being Cuban, cus they aint Cuban. They both be Boriqua. (Puerto Ricans)Originally Posted by Gyrokai
As far as trusting Boxrec, I just came from Cotto's forum and it has been confirmed.
I am a huge Cotto fan but Quintana is just nasty. I don't see how Cotto can beat him. I think Quintana is good enough to clean out the division.Originally Posted by BoomBoom

Cotto would stop Quintana, he has no defense for body shots
